Was wondering if anybody  has or is using this OS.  I was thinking of trying it using a USB stick. I have heard is a good stable OS but I imagine their are more programs that will  not work with it than do work with it.  It is free and I know you can order Dell computers with it or you could at one time.   I would love to have a dual boot system. You can try it without installing it on you pc or laptop. Great thing is it is open source and you could write your own programs if you are that talented

open source means that it is more vulnerable to viruses and such as hackers can easily exploit it

yes but since everybody runs Windows or Mac they not paying much attention to this.  Just think it would be interesting to try. Wanted to see if anybody had used it

I have not tried Ubuntu, but I do not agree with Crazy when he says "more vulnerable to viruses and such as hackers can easily exploit it".

I've been using various unix/linux OS's here at home and have never had any issues (unlike windows).
Nothing spoils a good story like the arrival of an eyewitness.

I said that because of the Android OS that is made by Google is open source and hackers make apps for it with hidden viruses and if you install 3rd party apps outside the play store you take the risk of getting one. There was such an app when Instagram first hit the Android scene, people got infected big time.
