Run time problems:

Make sure your system is completely updated by running WINDOWS UPDATE and installing all files from Microsoft.

If you don't know how to do this follow these directions.

Click START

then click ALL PROGRAMS

Up at the top left you should see WINDOWS UPDATE

Click that and update your system. Make sure you reboot after all of this.

If you still don't understand what to do, here is a step by step instruction site:

After Gin is out we are going to be going back to this issue. It's seems about 10% of the people have this problem

Ifind matchmaker just seems to get stuck alot of the time when left running. and am getting very low % of wins any idea when this will be corrected.

Using xp 32 bit color smooth edges not checked, 2.4 ghz processor, ie6.0 everything you reccomend. 1024 x 768

Just wondering as I have to babysit and would like to leave running to win the badges. Not complaining just wondering when the fix or a fix will be out for this.

Thanks

Royal_Flush

ok thanks pogo...

by the way  they recommend not to use smooth edges

CajnSwty

You may think I am dumb, but what does smooth edges mean and how do I know if I have them or not?  Thanks

chuckbronson

cajnswty.......right click your desk top........click "properties".....click the "appearance" tab, then click "effects" and uncheck the box that says use the following to smooth edges of screen fonts, then click "OK".

Im havin that same problem techguy......jus purchased mm and it moved 6 spaces in 2 hours. When I got back I seen the cards tryin to be clicked but not disappearing.      Then during another session it would keep running out of pairs and need to hit new game. I would stop it and undo and finish it the Old fasioned way, lol.    Also noticed that when there are 2 of the same card....1 all alone and 1 on top of others it goes for the all alone 1........dont ya think it should take from the pile first??      No flame here jus givin input! I actually cant believe I paid 10 for this in the first place, lmao

Bizach0620

you should fnish one auto befor starting a new one

BadgeHelpOscar

And what happens if it takes me 6 months to finish one?

I'll just tell all my customers to WAIT! I'm trying to finish....Can't work on 2 things at the same time....HAVE TO FINISH!

Yes your right that is what you tell them.  I know I would rather have one auto That works 100% then 10 that don't work 100%

BadgeHelpOscar

Well, you are right, a few people do email me saying exactly what you are saying. The problem is you are outnumbered. For every 1 person that emails me whining to fix the small problems, I have 100 that are emailing me non-stop for the new stuff.

So the solution is:

If it doesn't work for you for ANY reason. Do not buy it.

Maybe they would not  email you whining to fix the small problems if you did not put the auto out with problems.  Just a thought.  But hay what do I know.

BadgeHelpOscar

It just keeps flying over your head. Just don't buy anything.

Ok I won't.  But I just did buy something today.

Bizach,

The control systems on the space shuttles were bug-free when they were released. They were released only 10 years after the inception of the project. In the mid-eighties, the calculators and desktops carried on board the shuttle had far more computing power than the control systems responsible for the astronauts' safety, because the control systems used 10 year-old technology. (The technology available at the start of the project.)

Maybe you have 10 years to wait for perfect software. Few do. If we have a partially functioning beta available when a challenge comes along, we get an avalanche of requests for us to make what we have available for sale as is. We get people offering us substantial bribes if only we release the software in time for the challenge.

Compared to that, one or two people demanding ad nauseum that all products be perfect before the first sale is just tedious.

While I admire your persistence, I find it misguided, and it will not affect any of our policies. Nor will it affect the hordes who constantly demand the latest auto in time for the next challenge.

Perhaps you would have better luck convincing Bill Gates it was a mistake to sell a quick and dirty operating system to IBM back in 1981.

Bizach0620

I already said ok I won't and I droped it now you can do the same. TY

Right now MatchMaker 1.1.3 WORKS WELL with my computer, and it only has a few problems, when there are 2 freecells open it will ocasionally lock up OR will not use the freecells and the game will not go on, and on floating games it will stick and wont finish the game ( but that isnt very often), Maybe someone could make a macro that will click new game every 6 or 7 mintues, The longest it ran for me without sticking is more than 1 hour and 30 minutes keep up the good work you guys ;).
