Interesting "fact" about Saint Patrick's day.  He became a saint for driving the snakes out of Ireland.  Yup, no snakes there.

I heard the snakes were gone well before Maewyn Succat (St Pat) was even born. He was THAT good!

I saw a documentary on why there are no snakes in Ireland and it happened long before St. Pat.  Ya gotta love science!

Well...that's the lore...but you could interpret it as St. Pat bringing Christianity to Ireland...and driving the "snakes" out (old Pagan ways).
