What is windows 8.3

My laptop got corrupted and they had to do a hard drive wipe and installed windows 8.3..what the hell is that??? Never heard of it before....

There is no such thing as Windows 8.3 (at least right now). There is Windows 8.1 Update 3. Did they tell you they installed 8.3 in the documentation (who is 'they' btw)? If it says that you have Windows 8.3 installed...then I'd be concerned.

They is the geeks at computer repair shop and they must be crazy cuz I just looked and I have 8.1...

Speaking of 8.1....

Is there an internal way of making 8.1 behave/look like Windows 7 or do you have to use an external program to get the computer to do that?

They must have just meant update 3 then. Good that it still shows 8.1...
