From France With Love, Postcards From Britain, Grub Crawl, Royal Wedding, and Vanishing Trail will be retiring on September 30th.

I have 4 more Royal Wedding episodes, and then I am done.
Double check in your Game Badges Album that you have completed all of the episodes.  I had an episode in Postcards from Britain that ended with the Find the Differences puzzle, which for some reason I hadn't done.  The episodes only count the actual HOG puzzles, and when I looked through the actual pages it showed done in the game, but not in the Game Album, so the badge hadn't been awarded.  It was an easy fix, but I am glad I looked in the album.  I don't know if this is clear or not, I don't know another way to tell it.

Hmmm, I've never bought any episodes in those HOGs but it would behoove me to check, in case I won any episodes or was gifted any...   Thanks for sparking my brain cells!

Why did they gift us the first episodes in many of these HOGS and yet they don't let us complete the third level?

Yes, and if you don't there is a small chance that you will be awarded the badge(s) even if you don't finish them. I wouldn't risk it though.

Why is that?

Because this constellation will take up about 90% of the MnMs/LEs/Pogo gifts/Personals that I have stockpiled.  I only buy more when the moment is right and it will be some time before I reach the amount I need for gold.  I'm ok with that.
