Pogo will be releasing the new HTML 5 version of Aces Up for Club Pogo members on November 21st.

Some notes on this release :

- The Java version of Aces Up will be replaced by the upgraded Aces Up HTML 5 game on November 21st at 2AM PST.
- Same URL, but you'll need to resave the upgraded game to your Favorite's List.
- All unfinished, activated badges from the Java version of Aces Up will be auto-awarded to your account on November 24th.
- All purchased badges (activated and not activated) prior to November 21 will be auto-awarded to your account on November 24th.

The reason for the updating to HTML 5 is because Java's creator, Oracle, will no longer be supporting Java in the near future.

Me too! This is kind of exciting!!

Mayhem

This game was a fun one to play. I'm not surprised it's the first (of the many) to be converted over.

I was ranked out because I did like this game and looking forward to seeing how things go now.

Here is some more information on Aces Up HD.

Q: What are the main differences between Aces Up Java and Aces Up HTML 5?

A: Not much! We've kept the game exactly the same as you remember it. The biggest difference is how ranks work. Instead of waiting to get full squadrons to get a new rank, everything you do will contribute to rank progress (including getting full squadrons).

Q: Will each player's progress be moved from the Java to H5 version?

A: Everybody will be starting with a clean new slate and be able to earn new rank badges.

All unfinished, activated badges from the Java version of Aces Up will be auto-awarded to your account on November 24th.

Just a reminder that this game is scheduled to go live at 2AM PST.

Pogo also stated the game link won't change, so the one below should take you to the new version (when it's live).

It's ok, I guess.  I don't like the cards - they seem squat and not very clear.  Also, Joe isn't cute anymore!  Wahhh
I don't want to make anyone jealous but I'm rank 1.  Jus' sayin'

Mayhem

I managed to play a few games before I called it the night. It wasn't too bad!

Greetings all you pogo Brainiacs,
The instructions for this game are confusing...and no I have not had wine this early.  BTW...later I'm off to Wally-World to restock my boxed wine collection.

Thanks for any suggestions...other than waiting for the auto.

The second tip is not necessarily true.  There are many times that a lower card will work nicely because it clears the way for the removal of cards.

Greetings,
Well I finally figured out how to play the game.  Yes, I relied on autos to rank out and do challenges.  It does remind me of my time in Viet Nam.  What a terrible War/Conflict!  Hell, I was there in 1969 and a "Virgin"...enough said.

Going back to the game.

I wasn't aware that you could 'right click' any where on the game screen to draw more cards.

Was that feature in the Java version as well or is this something new?

In the Java version as well.

I made rank 10 by hand although PB's Buddy does play it as well.

Did not know where to post this so I hope okay here.

I played Aces and got to rank 10. But I noticed when I refreshed my page
my level in the bottom right of the page went back to nine.
I still have the rank 10 badge but not the correct number showing.

Does anyone have a tip to stop this from happening? I don't want to go back and play
until I can figure out how not to lose anything when I refresh or leave the game.

I remember having this problem when I played Tri Peaks.  I finally ranked out in that game
but I had to replay a lot of levels due to this same issue.

Squid

I have no advice, Cat, I played to rank one and left.  I don't have a working auto yet.
