It's amazing what a lightning strike can do to a tree and it's surroundings.  The action starts at 45 seconds (volume warning).
Nothing spoils a good story like the arrival of an eyewitness.

Exactly! I've always watched the big thunderstorms here from my covered balcony. However after seeing that, it makes me second guess that decision.
