I'm saving my meager number of gems for the last few days of the constellation, to be used only if they get me to the gem tier.   I think I have a sickness?

Not sick at all. I think that after years and years of putting up with their greedy ways, you're taking a stand and getting the most you can without further lining their pockets.

Will get a few of these to push me to finish Gold tier this time. I have had enough to do with all these marathons to get me through.

I'm doing the same thing! I try and make my gems stretch for as long as I can.

As of today, we have 21 days left on this constellation.  I think I will probably reach silver tier 15 without having to use other challenges in my collection.  I won't reach gold tier 15 even with those extra challenges.  I'll just have to keep stockpiling challenges until they can get me to the goal.
