Daughter explaining to dad how he needs to be nice to kids

I love how this dad let his daughter have her own thoughts.  He gave her the room she needed to express herself.  He even asked her thoughts on how it should be handled.  Of course, the parents are in charge, but it's lovely that this man sees his child as an individual with thoughts and feelings, etc.  My parents would never have tolerated this... it's what they say or else.  My parents did not exactly foster open communication.
