We used to go to the airport when were were kids and watch the planes land. It was a lot of fun!

I did the same thing when I was in college.  I had access to the end of the runway where a small hill was and I would lie in the grass as planes came roaring toward me.  They would rise up near the end of the runway and were only about 30 feet above me as they went over.  I am SURE that the area is closed off to anyone and everyone now but it was a thrill back then!
