Greetings,
All caught up and waiting for the next constellation.

Back to the subject.  About 6 years ago I purchased a new Rolex Air-King watch for $6,600.  It was an entry level watch and not anything like my wife Rolex (OK is was $20k).  I haven't worn the watch in months as my Apple Watch is ideal for me.  So, I wondered what my old watch was worth.  One internet company offered $12,000 for a $6,600 watch...yup it sounded too good to be true.  So off to where I purchased the Rolex (Hal Davis Jewelers) and ask them what it was worth as a trade-in for an up-grade to my wife's engagement ring (paid about $2k in 1990).  They said $7,500.  I ask what a cash trade-in would be...they said $7,500.  Yup...off to sell my watch...got the check...it didn't bounce.

A brand new Rolex Air-King watch now sells for $7,400.  I cashed a check for $7,500.  How can this be?  A used/old watch is worth more than a Brand New Watch same everything.

Thanks for your comments,
