I'm sry change of question how would i put my computer in safe mode?

bigbear78

You have XP??

Use this method only if Windows XP is the only operating system installed on your computer.

Start Windows, or if it is running, shut Windows down, and then turn off the computer.

Restart the computer. The computer begins processing a set of instructions known as the Basic Input/Output System (BIOS). What is displayed depends on the BIOS manufacturer. Some computers display a progress bar that refers to the word BIOS, while others may not display any indication that this process is happening.

As soon as the BIOS has finished loading, begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard. Continue to do so until the Windows Advanced Options menu appears. If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" message. To resolve this, restart the computer and try again.

Using the arrow keys on the keyboard, scroll to and select the Safe mode menu item, and then press Enter.

You really have to be careful where you are downloading files from. Many files downloaded from P2P networks and illegal copies of software are often loaded with viruses, spyware etc. :-\

If you are wanting to but your computer in safe mode the easiest way to do that is to restart you computer and before you see the WindowsXp logo tap the F8 key.  If you have let's say a Dell, Compaq or gateway you don't always see the BIOS screen.

K i'm no computer expert but here is what i suggest you do.  I would go to like cnet.com and download spybot and adware programs.  Run them and it will take care of any of the adware/spyware you have that is causing your computer to bog down.  Then I would run an antivirus program(almost any will do).  Once you have done that hopefully everything will be back to normal.  If need be try to do a system restore.  I would also review your steps and look at what if any new software or hardware that you have put on your computer that could be causing some sort of conflict.

Like I said I am no computer whiz by no means and this may not even be the prob you are having, lol  Just trying to help you.
