Yeah I figured so, after the squelchie leek... if it was a leek (or was it intentional?)...

fatkid

I saw the link to it like a week earlier (in the chat room they were talking about it) before Bizach had posted it... Wonder where the leek came from... I didn't know it was illegal thogh to post that stuff on here... It still comes with the serial number algorythm so it wasn't like it was hurting business for wordzw...

Bizach0620

Wordzw said I could post the link thank you all very much.

fatkid

See i didn't think there would have been any problem with it being there... Maybe if there wasn't a serial number aglorythm programmed into it, then it  would just be a 100% free program but instead it's no different than any other program you download from the wordzw website...

Bizach0620

what does this mean: serial number aglorythm programmed into it?

The serial number algorythm works as such (some that I know of work like this, most are generally the same principle)... In your computer you have tons of different parts, created by different companies and with different distributors who all put there name somewhere in the firmware of your computer parts (the firmware is the code that is put directly onto you different pieces of hardware and does not come from the Microsoft OS... ie: your motherboard comes with a BIOS firmware installed in it so that you can boot your computer up before you ever have any kind of Windows operating system installed on it... The BIOS is those black and white screens that come up when your computer is first turned on)... Now lots of programs nowadays make it so that their program generates a unique "machine" code for each computer it runs on... So when you go to register a WordzW program you have to include the machine code along with it... With that machine code Wordzw probably has his own key-genorator to create a valid serial number to go along with your machine code... The algorythm is the formula that is used to decide how that 2nd serial number is generated from the first machine code... So when you send in your machine code along with your money to wordzw he takes that machine code and and runs it through a quick little program that does some math functions on the machine code and from that it creates a valid working serial number... The wordzw programs would also have this algorythm programmed into them so that when you put in your serial number the algorythm will check to make sure that your serial number matches up to the machine code that was generated from your machine...
This is usually done for several different reasons, the main being pirating... Instead of 1 single serial number working for everyone one on the planet, everyone instead has a serial number that will only be unique for themselves...  So I can't give you my serial numbers to register your programs and you can't give me your serial numbers to register my programs (because when the algorythm tests them against the machine code they won't match up as being valid)...
Hope that makes sense...
So what I ment was that because the program had its serial number protection already programmed into it... It could have been released in beta with no serial number protection put into it and then you would ever have to register that beta program...

;D LOL I like how you refer to yourself as a "Jack Ass", DJ... As in a proper noun... That's pretty good... Not just a regular old noun jackass but instead a proper noun Jack Ass...  ;)
