New Sun Java, MS VM and autos

Hi
Some autos work with Sun java while others only work with MS.
Previously I have both the Sun Java and the MS VM which is the default on the computer .  There is a toggle and I just switch it back and forth accordingly.  It was not that easy cos I have to remember which one works with which Java but I managed via trial and error.
Is the New Sun Java the same?  I can toggle it on and off?
