jigsaw detector 1.0.0.0 registered
40 GB HD 25GB free
pentium 4 2.40 ghz
512MB ram
windows xp
internet explorer through cable- no AOL
color is 32 bit 1028 by 768 pixels 96 dpi
pogo screen size 800x600
smooth edges unchecked
java 2 v1.3_03
java console enabled
I start the game in easy mode, i bring up the detector ( tried fast, med and slow)
with puzzle in place and detector ready i click start and leave the mouse alone. the cursor scans the screen then stops. the clock does not start and no pieces get highlighted or move. I've tried starting the game by clicking on a piece starting the clock then starting the detector, same happens, cursor scans the screen then nothing, i have let it run 20 mins still nothing, i have tried several ways many many times same end result. Any help would be kindly accepted, Thank you
i delete temp files and clean the cache and reboot before any new attempt.

i have also e mailed Joe at badge help, any, and all help needed Thank You O0 O0

Again, another perfect tech support post. This user gives us what we need to narrow down the problem....OS, browser, color, screen res, java used and EXACT details of what is happening.

This is how we can get fixes done the fastest way. When you post or email me something like IT DOESN'T WORK and that's it. It doesn't help us any....

To amplify what Oscar wrote:

"Don't work" means it doesn't work for you, and it ain't gonna change.

"When I ______, the game does ___________ and the auto does ___________" or some variant along with full specifications means it just might change.

If you have the ability, screen shots help too. (A lot!)

I think Joe took off for a few days.

He'll get around to you soon.

Jigsaw Detector 1.0.0.0  ( registered   O0 )

Syetem Information:

1. 10 GB HD 9.5GB free
2. Intel Celeron 734MHz
3. 191MB ram
4. Windows XP
5. I.E. with AOL DSL
6. smooth edges unchecked
7. java 2 verison ?
8. java console enabled

I am able to start the game and the auto with no problems or issues. The problem I am experiencing is that it takes the auto anywhere from 30-50 mins to solve one puzzle, regardless if it is on easy or med, and slow, medium or fast. Is there anyway to correct this issue so that the auto doesnt take so long?

3. 191MB ram

That also will be causing your problem.

A celeron 734mhz with 191mb of ram just won't cut it.

Windows XP takes atleast 80mb of that ram on a fresh reboot which leaves just over 100mb ram.

The Jigsaw game takes up 60mb ram.. I'm surprised it runs at all on your machine.

If you download Pogo's EasyInfo application, you can look it up from there. "System Total" is approximately how many megabytes of ram you have in your computer.

For instance, this laptop has 512 MBytes of ram and it reports in EasyInfo as 511.3

OK, now I know I must be dumb.  Were do you find Pogo's Easy Info application, I looked on the home page of pogo but can not find it.  I know I am in desperate need of help....lol.  HELP!!!!!!

Pho3nix

what kind of operating system are you running, rock and roll, i might be able to show you how to get it up in on your computer without downloading anything

Pho3nix

ok, well im gonna be going soon, so if you have xp, go to start, accessories, system tools, system information... that will bring up a page, on the main page of that, it says Total Pysical Memory, that is how much you would have, granted it is rounded up, but that is another subject in its own... so its close to whatever that says, if that doesn't work, try restarting your computer and bringing up the setup file, it will says hit (so and so) for setup... in the setup( BIOS ),  it will say available memory, or SDRAM, or DDRRAM, Or any variation of ram, and it will say next to it, how much is physical on your motherboard in your computer, but once again that is rounded up as well, yet the same other subject.
I'm sorry if any of this confused you, but maybe it will help, if not, i should be on sometime tomarrow to possibly help some more.

Bree,

Just click on Help in Pogo, then select the frequently asked questions tab, then type EasyInfo in the search box.

Hit the Enter key and voila! Just follow the instructions they give for downloading. Run the EasyInfo application and click the + beside Memory.

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools->Internet Options->Advanced

Then scroll down until you see the Sun Java section right after the HTTP 1.1 section.

Have you updated to the latest Sun Java?

I have Java(TM), and not sure what Sun Java I have.
