I have seen alot of people talking about this....Mine doesn't work either, It just puts the pieces in a pile  and the coursor moves across the screen like a zillion times. I also run xp..but I have 3000+ AMD Sempron processor, 512 mb DDR SDRAM memory, 120 gb Ultra DMA hard drive. My pc is less than a week old.  I think maybe I am not doing something right.  :-\

thats what mine does also exactly what you described so at least i'm not the only one i guess will have to wait till an update comes out obviously a glitch on it.  :)

Send your computer specs and screenshots to joe@badgehelp.com

Before doing so, please goto www.java.com and make sure your using the latest version.

One big problem with this game is that it uses an awful lot of internet bandwidth / memory. Make sure you have nothing else running in the background. (downloads / file sharing apps, etc). A fresh reboot of the computer may also help getting it running on your system.

Joe has mentioned to me a few days ago that he is looking at other ways of solving the puzzles. (perhaps a way that does not use so much bandwidth). Let's just be patient and see if he can come up with something new.

Btw, it works like a champ on my machine. Solves puzzles in about 3-6 min on the fast setting.

I do too .. but actually the latest version runs quite quick and smoothly on my machine.

MS Java still runs the best though.

OK time out have you guys waited patiently for it to work....let it setfor about 10 minutes just to make sure.  The program moves too fast for CPU to catch up and when it does the puzzel ios complete.  So be patient try that first.  Not saying you havent just making sure you did. O0

My dad's computer is the exact same as mine, however when I run Jigsaw, it doesnt do anything for 2 or 3 minutes, then it goes & it is 85% done, but my dad's computer? minimum of 8 minutes  :-\

with my pc in IE MS java works and in mozilla sun works. Both take 2 to 3 mins to co-ordinate then solve in less than 10 mins far quicker than I can! ( I loath jigsaws)

I too have this problem i run windows xp pro i have an amd 3.5 proccessor 2gb of ddr memory and a 180 gb hard drive i allso have a tynan graphics card with its own 250mb of memory.
The detector starts the game gets all the pieces in a pile and then the cursor just goes across the screen at a fast pace and does nothing.eventually the game freezes on pressing control alt delete you find that the proccessor is workung at 100 per cent, never had this with any other auto.

I don't know if I am way off beam here but we upgraded pcs with the newest graphic card we could get and in some of my son's older games we have to de-accelerate the graphic card.Maybe that is the problem with some people's pc's
