ok well i have a pogo screenname And for the last year it has been giving me a screen that says
The following error has occurred:
Lost Connection to Server
Explanation:
In order to play, the Java applet must maintain a network connection to our servers. This connection was unexpectedly lost.

How to Fix the Problem:
It's possible that one of our servers may have unexpectedly gone down for a bit. We do try to keep downtime for maintenance and upgrades to under 15 minutes, and we apologize for the inconvenience if this is the case.

If it's not scheduled maintenance, there a few things that could have gone wrong:

Your connection to the Internet was either lost, too slow or too congested.
The applet will try to contact the server every 30 seconds. If the server is unable to reply within 30 seconds, the applet will disconnect you. If you download large files or run bandwidth-intensive applications like audio or video, your modem may not have any capacity left to transmit the game's messages, which would cause this problem. The other reason you might experience this problem is that you have lost your connection to the Internet (by timing out from your ISP or some other network glitch).

Your best bet is not to download any other files, listen to audio broadcasts or view streaming video while playing our games.

One other possibility is that you were disconnected from your Internet service provider due to inactivity. If this happens, simply sign back on and try again.

but i can still like log out and stuff but once the game loads and u can see the graphics it gives me that page i just typed out so if i can help me that will b great

hey there. dont feel bad. i have been having that exact same dang prob since 4 hours b4 challenges started 3 days ago. i dont have sp2, and i am constantly cleaning out my cache.  i clean it out when i log on, log off, and every couple of hours or so while on. i have run all my updates, ran nortons, and still giving me probs. i can get into any game room i want. i can chat with others all i want, but let me start playin the game and play for for than 90 seconds, and i get that exact same error message. i have home networking for internet connection so i am permanately connected so i know its a bunch of bull manarky about losing internet connection. i am using:  1]  windows xp home addition
          2]  internet explorer
          3]  32 bit color setting
4]  1024 x 768 pixels screen resolution ( only cos i feel like the computer thinks im blind or something with the 800 x 600)
5]  smooth edges i think are checked
6]  i believe its wvm java - or whatever that one is called thats not the sun java
7]  and finally i already stated the problem above.

so if anyone could assist all of us sad unfortunate ones with this big fat issue that all the boxes of kleenex in the world wont fix, it would be GREATLY appreciated. ;D

Homer

This is a pogo server error not an auto error. I don't know if installing SP2 will help any but it's worth a try. Odds are it's probably pogo's servers. I wouldn't be surprised if it had something to do with all the hacking of java files that has been going on.

Most of the time this is a pogo problem, however I have had this happen over and over as well. I was advised to go to Webroot.com and download spysweeper. It  runs on a 30 day trial, when it expires it will advise to buy or unistal, ...I just unistal and go back and redownload it.

Now to the point, run this through your system and I can gaurantee you it is going to find so many hijacked files and spyware >:D...this interfers.....with pogo, :o it is one of the main reasons people have trouble with it.
Do this on a  regular basis, it is a excellent program and I know this will help.

Let us all know, but I already know the answer!! O0
