Hi, I'm new and hope I do this right.... I recently purchased bingo and i was trying to run the Room rover with it - not to jump from room to room because I have never been able to do this for some reason my system wont- but anyway I wanted to use rover just to go off after like 2 hrs.  It wont load the game.  I followed all the instructions and it sits there says applet started but nothing.  I run the following:
Windows XP
AOL (i did follow the special AOL instructions)
32 bit color
1024 x 768 screen resolution
Sun java
(see i paid attention to Homer's information page lol)
Please help-  what am I doing wrong?
By the way you guys and gals are awesome- what brains you have!!! wish i have 1/4 of them lol

thanks - beanie

Try switching to Microsoft VM and see if that does anything.

Thanks for answering so fast- but another dumb question - what and how do i find if i have Microsoft VM- all I see that I have is Sun Java- thanks for all the help again  :)

Homer

To check your java click on the Tools section of your browser go to Internet Options, click the Advanced tab. Scroll down until you see Java Sun and Microsoft VM. If Sun Java is checked uncheck it. Under Microsoft VM the only thing that should be checked is....JIT Compiler.

Hi Homer,
Thank you, the MSVM did the trick - it did load the bingo game with room rover.  One other question, I'm sorry don't mean to be a pain but I'm new at this and really want to learn- Is Room Rover supposed to log you out of the bingo game completely at the end of the designated time you have set?  For example- I set for it to go off in 1 hr and the Room Rover icon left the tray but the game stayed playing with Dottie Dauber.  Is this right? Or is that not what it is supposed to do?  I would be cool if you could get out of the game completely.  I can't sleep nights afraid my game will play too long and I'll be noticed  ;D.  So i sleep with one eye open looking at the screen and one eye closed  :'(.   Thanks again, you are a sweetheart to take so much time with us or me rather.

"Stop Playing After" x hours x minutes is what you want to set for the game to close after x amount of time.

I'm sorry I wasnt too clear-  in fact I did set the "stop playing after" time for 1 hr 0 min but the game never stopped playing.  The Room rover icon shut off after 1 hr but Dottie Dauber continued with the game.  So, that is what I was wondering and I guess you did answer my question that in fact all of the bingo game should stop but it doesnt- only the Room Rover does- but Dottie keeps plugging along...
Is there anything else I can or should do?  Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks so much,
Beanie

Update to the Techs:
I tried all the things Homer told me to do and the Room Rover does switch rooms for me with the message "someone entered the room with your signon...." which was ok - it let me play anyway but I still have the problem that Room Rover will not end my game after x amt of time.  Please help.... I would love to be able to set it to play for a couple of hrs and turn itself off.
We are getting spoiled arent we..  ;D.   I did set the time and watched to see what it would do.  The icon turns off but the game continues.  Any ideas ?  :-\  ???
