if i was in charge of pogo,i would be more helpful with people queries in stead of send out generated replies which dont help.i would also make sure that the "latest news" section was updated at least once a week.also i would make a section for previews of new games coming soon and actually put the estimated release date.i feel as members we get treated shabbily and pogo should buck their ideas up.surely im not  the only 1 with opnions, let hear yours :)

i agree with u.  in addition to what u said, i would make some games (ie. - pop fu, www) not so hard to reach that last rank.  on pop fu pogo has it set to where u workin on the hard level needing 162 winning games to reach rank 24, but then it jumps to needing 715 winning games on hard level to reach level 25.  i think that is just a little rediculous, dont u?

I also think that, pogo should give a freebie pass for a challenge. If you can not do a challenge you can give your pass and you still get the badge. You can get it for past challenges as well. Maybe they can do this every so often, as an award for completing a challenge. Mair ;D

This almost sounds good, but we know pogo isnt going to do that.. so how bout when there is a game we dont know how to play they let us change it into another personal challenge.. that way pogo still gets to keep the badge that we couldn't do, but then we still get to do one we can ... O0

I have to agree with Barb about the challenges...they are not very challenging lately....most of the time they can be done in a few hours....I don't really feel thats a challenge....to me it feels like I am being turned into a trained monkey.....doing what I am told and being herded where they want me to go and all for what....lol...oh yeah the coveted badges I for got for a second there. But I also think it is wrong and very poor customer service to put up a link then take it down...then let us hanging. They tell you to check the latest news page....well that place is like a graveyard.....nothing changes.....so IF I was in charge of pogo....I'd have my Mom call their Mom and tell them I'm looking for a new friend and a new place to play cause they stink at this game....lmao.

I think more than anything, I would pass on new games for awhile if they would concentrate more time fixing their server problems.  I'd much rather have my money go to fixing a problem that prevents me from getting what I paid for than having a new game for the moment.   :)

1.   I'd double the cost of the Club Pogo Service.  And I'd eliminate all the free passes.  I'd also consider renegotiating the AOL contract.

2.  I'd take the money from increased fees and hire more competent programmers and customer friendly staff.  And I'd sink some into capital improvments like servers and infrastructure.  So you could alwasy get on any game you wanted (like they originally promised).

3.  I'd change the prize structure to have more frequent winners of less money.  And I'd ensure that payment was made in a timely fashion.

4.  Finally I'd add more ways for club members to win badges AND I'd allow members to win as many badges as they like, as quickly as they liked.  I'd offer a variety of badges based on skill level and time required.

The business structure for Club pogo was never changed from the original concept.  So you have people paying for a service, but recieiving almost the same service as the free one.  A very bad business model.  However, they're the only game in town.. For now.  They treat their customers like dirt because they can.  If masses of PAYING customers told them to shove it, they'd do something.  Honestly, they've failed to grow along with their business.

Pogo's main downfall is the lack of  interaction between Pogo and the players (we are the clients after all). The only reason why they are getting away with it, is because we accept it. It's always been like that and therefore it is an accepted norm. In the pre-EA days they had their staff frequenting rooms, and even though a lot of players got banned unfairly, at least there was a point of call/contact. Nowadays you have virtually no means of contacting Pogo and if you do, you get a generic mail message answer that can solve any situation from the Papal debate about abortion to a possible rat infection in a restaurant in Philadelphia.

In my opinion Pogo needs a message board/forum where they can get messages across (servers down, new games, etc) and where players can communicate their views, grudges and so on. It works well in Slingo and although Slingo seldom solves a problem on the message board, at least the players don't feel isolated when they learn there are others with the experience.

The other situation that Pogo has seldom dealt with successfully is the banning of real problem players. It is not difficult to run a report and see who the culprits are; those that we constantly report for bad behaviour, stalking, harrassment, etc. I feel they don't do enough to look after the real bad apples and instead they focus on someone who's racking up useless tokens with an auto program. While on auto the player doesn't use foul language, doesn't upset the room, doesn't do anything BUT earn a badge or two and get more tokens than the next person.

The initiative with the Club membership and badges has basically saved a sinking ship - without it Pogo would have ceased to exist a long while ago. While it seems that there is some creative thinking going on in the Pogo army, I feel it's not enough. The other thing that is questionable is the fact that we can create any amount of usernames with no restriction to email address whatsoever. It allows for people to, again, be nuisances wherever they want to do mischief.

And yes, their hardware needs to be upgraded. Having a server problem on badge day is totally unacceptable since we are now paying. If there is a problem, restrict access to all the non-paying members so that their paying customers can at least benefit until they resolve the problem.

This is not a technical problem, just a suggestion.

Instead of allowing us to earn 3 badges during the Marathon Week, why not make it a real marathon, and allow us to earn as many as we can during that specified period of time? A marathon implies some kind of race or challenge. Why not make it a real challenge by giving us the opportunity to earn as many badges as we can?

I'm not asking for an open invitation to every badge, but allow us to try to reach a personal goal and have fun competing with others on who can earn the most?

Thanks for your consideration!

I sent this when they announced the second badge marathon. I DON'T think Pogo should give us an open invitation to ANYTHING (that takes away some of the challenge), but giving us a chance to catch up would be fun.

Their response?

Hi There,

Thank you for contacting Club Pogo Support.

Thank you for your feedback about the Personal Challenge Marathon.

We are offering the Personal Challenge marathon because so many players have requested the chance to do more than one Personal Challenge at a time. However, after the special event is over, we will be returning the Personal Challenges to one per week.

We appreciate your eagerness to have more than one Personal Challenge per week, and hope that you will enjoy the special event.

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please update this request and let me know, and I'll do my best to help.

Sincerely,

Pogo Clark

Hi All!! i would have to agree with Barbara and Motley on this, i would rather see my fees go to upgrading the servers that they so desperately need at this point, and also--would like to see the challenges be MORE challenging!!! I also want to play new games also, but i can understand the delays that come along with putting new games together as well.  ;D I have had my share of problems with Pogo as well, but I love that damn place so much ;), I always try to remember that the people that work for Pogo are just that, it's their job, and they try to do their job as to what they are told to do, I was in Customer Service for a web based company at one point, and I had to talk with customers about server issues and the also their opinions of what and how we should run our site and how to make it better, but guess what, it was my job to listen to that and to pass the info along to the right people, and thats were my job ended. so, when i email Pogo, i know the people that send out those automated responses are doing what they get paid to do, and only can hope that our suggestions do not go unheard, I say, Patience is a virtue, and I'm gonna just keep smiling and not let the lil things like the server going down affect me, poop happens, so just go with the flow all!!!  Hagd all!!

8) O0 ;) :) :D ;D

philinuk

nice lot of suggestions from a lot of people.so  barbara,u  can be president of pogo O0 O0

Homer

I would allow the use of auto programs and award at least one jackpot to each member of this website. (Including me of course! :P) O0

Did anyone mention asking permission for someone to add you to their friends list? ???

PogoCheats - It's all about the badges!!!

jrp

The things that I would change on pogo,
1. When it says club pogo exclusive make sure onlly club pogo members can play it.
2. Game badges I would change and make it more fair, ie, texas holden. the badges there is pure an simple luck, you get nothing for making ranks, and make it more real 3000 bingos come on.
3. Have to have permission to and you to there friends list, I dont know most of them from adam.
4 and invest more money into updating their servers so pogo dont go down as much.
Just a few problems that I have noticed
