tips on Pebble beach golf?

Hi,

Until now I've won all the badges of every challenge Pogo issued,...except.....Pebble beach golf!!! The frustration of not having this badge is to much now. Does anyone please have some usefull tips for me?

Thanks Barbara. I decided to make pebble beach my personal challenge and finally got that badge with the advice you gave. I thought it would be best to get it over with before pogo fixes the problem. Once again, Thanks  O0

I did this challenge...I think about a year ago.  At the time, everyone was having problems getting their badge, but I recieved an email on how to win the game.  The way Barbara stated earlier sounds like the easiest way of getting it, but if anyone wants to actually play the game and still win, here is how I and a lot of my friends did it (I just copied the email in its entirety).  I haven't played the game in a long time, so some things might have been changed.  Hope this is of benefit to someone.   :D

This is step by step instructions to get your through the GOLF CHALLENGE that is coming up. there is NO GUARANTEE That these steps will work for you or your computer. Please don't yell at me if POGO fails to load. *sighs*

Change your MOUSE pointer to a small controllable arrow. You MUST Have control of your mouse pointer to guide the ball into the tiny hole in the lower left screen.


****GLITCH ALERT****
GUIDE TO HOLE: This means that on the small screen on the left you are going to rapidly click in the direction of the hole. The ball will literally follow the direction of the point of the mouse when you clicked.
Rapid Click guiding the ball to the hole when it says: GUIDE TO HOLE
It may take you several times of practice to get this glitch down.
DON'T GIVE UP

When you see 1W or 3W or 3I This is 1 Wood, 3 Wood, 3 Iron etc...it is the NAME Of the club you should use.
For this walkthrough you will need 1W, 3W, 4W, CW, 21

Next to the swing button is a golf ball. there is a PLUS + sign in the middle of that golf ball. + UP means click the top of the ball so the plus sign is at the top + Down click the bottom of the ball.

Swing: You have a swing button in the lower right corner. Look at the meter lines on the left side. The meter starts at the bottom and goes up to the top. A FULL SWING will go up to the top line. Click as soon as the MOVING line is right on top of that TOP METER line. The moving line will start going back down wait until it lines up between the two red boxes at the bottom (Or a single line depending on the swing type). You will KNOW you got a perfect swing when it says NICE SWING +5 tokens! The four lines designate 1/4 swing, 1/2 swing, 3/4 Swing, Full Swing.

Putting: when given the option to PUTT a GRID will come up on the main screen. ONE or TWO of the yellow arrows will be highlighted and large. This is showing you the SLOPE of the green. If you are below the hole and the slope is to the right click to the LEFT of the cup about a cup size so it rolls into the cup.
If the ball is hanging on the edge of the cup start clicking in the cup to drop the ball.

Score: You want to be at -X which is under par. If the whole says 5 then you have 5 shots to get the ball in the hole. If it takes 5 shots you are PAR.
Birdie: 1 Shot under par
Eagle: 2 shots under par
Double Eagle: 3 shots under par
Bogey: 1 shot over par
Double Bogey: 2 shots over par
PAR: Your goal!


HOLE 1

Use 1W (ball + down)
click the spot on the right edge of fair way right across from the 300 mark
Use a full swing should leave you with 92-95 yds and the ball on the center of the fairway.
Second shot use 3W (ball + up)
Click on hole on the big screen to take aim.
use half swing
Guide the ball in the hole.

HOLE 2

Use 1Wood (ball + down)
using small screen click to the right of small yellow dot that is inside the moving yellow dot at the small yellow circle edge.
Use full swing
should have 202 203 left.
Second shot use 3W (ball + middle) click to the left of the flag on small screen to take aim.
Use full swing. When ball hits green click on hole on small screen to guide in.
(3/4 swing if under 200 yards, guide to hole)

HOLE 3

1W (ball + down)
click on edge of fairway in the rough left side across from
300 mark
full swing - should have 82 95 left. .
Second swing, 3W (ball + up)
click to left of hole about fourth of inch use
half swing
when ball hits fair way - click on small screen, direct ball in to hole using the small screen.

HOLE 4

1W (ball + down) click to just the right of yellow dot/circle (small one) on small screen and use full swing.
Leaves 30 yds almost every time. Use the club they give you CW.
Put (ball + up)
Click just right of the hole. Let swing go to half to three
quarters. Ball should drop but be ready to click on hole on small screen to guide it in to the hole.

HOLE 5

2 I (ball + middle) click on small white sand dot to right of flag on small screen.
GUIDE TO HOLE

Hole 6

3W (ball + down)
keep ball as close to left as possible, with out going into sand trap. You must get to the left or your second shot will be in the rocks and in the tree.
Second shot click on left side of fairway on the big screen
1W (ball + up)
when ball hits the fairway click ahead of the ball keeping well
in front of it until ball hits the green click on hole until it goes in on
small screen. Your guiding that ball into the hole on small screen.
IF your second shot is over 200 yds away full swing.
Under 200 yards use 3/4 swing.

Hole 7

4W 1/2 swing (Ball + middle)
click on hole in big screen before you shoot.
Guide into hole for Hole in one

Hole 8

3W (Ball + down)
Click on the left edge of the first fairway. Full swing. You have to stay away from those rocks. you should be on the left edge about 200 yards from flag
2 I (ball + down)
click to the left of the yellow flag in small screen. center of the sand traps. Full swing.
Guide ball into hole.

HOLE 9

1W (ball + down)
stay as close to the right side of the fairway that you can
2nd shot use
3 W (ball + up)
3/4 swing
Guide ball to hole

Hole 10

1W (ball + down)
Look for the first cluster of sandtraps on the left of fairway. Click in the center of the fairway towards the right of the large sandtrap for aim for first shot
Second shot
3W (ball + up)
Aim a little left of flag
little over 1/2 swing but not 3/4
guide to hole

Hole 11

1W (Ball + down)
stay as far left as you can
3W (ball + up)
little over 1/2 swing guide to hole

Hole 12

Click almost to the right of the top sand trap
4W (ball + center)
when ball hops to green lead the ball to the hole
*if you get in the sand
CW (ball + Up)
click on flag 1/2 swing guide to hole

Hole 13

1W (ball + down) try keeping to the left of the of fairway
2nd shot
aim for putting green right below that bottom sandtrap next to the putting green
3W (ball + up)
1/2 swing guide to hole

Hole 14

1W (ball + down)
stay in center of fairway
2nd shot
1W (ball + up)
if shot is 296 or less you can reach hole and guide in
IF you go in trees. use 3W (ball +down) to get out and back on fairway

Hole 15

1W (ball + down) stay center of fairway
2nd shot
3W (ball + up)
about 1/2 swing according to yds left (1/2 swing is 95 yards)
guide to hole

Hole 16


1W (ball + down)
aim for fairway center
2nd shot
under 126 yds use 3W (ball + up) 1/2 swing
More 126 3/4 swing
The 3 wood will carry you across the sand traps
Guide ball to hole

Hole 17

Aim for the right of the giant sandtrap
3W (ball + middle)
3/4 swing
guide to hole
*CW + Up if you get in sand and guide in


HOLE 18

click on center of fairway across from the 250 mark
1W (ball + down)
Full swing
2nd shot
3W (ball + up)
aim towards flag right along the right edge of long santrap
1/2 -3/4 swing
guide to hole
