Hi...

I'm one of the people who couldn't run 100,000Tokens in V1 or V1.2 and also one whose Stoppit stalls on the OK button (since Spike vanished)...

I've just tried Thunderpopper (Alpha)  and 100,000Tokens v1.3 and neither of them work for me either.

Following some advice from joe@badgehelp a few days ago after I sent in a few screenshots, I set my Desktop back to 1024x768 (32bit), WindowsXP default blue and normal fonts and I set Internet Explorer to Microsoft VM (JIT enabled) and I've tried them with smooth edges on and off). I've got a standard Pentium 4 (1.7MHz) with 512 Meg Ram on an IBM motherboard (so I don't think there's anything unusual about my computer).

From recent posts, it appears I'm not the only one who's having trouble with 100,000Tokens and Stoppit - yet other people say they're having no problem at all and both Autos are working well. Has anyone got any idea why they work for some and not for others? As far as I can tell - all the other Autos I've bought are still working fine.

Any advice would be welcome... and please don't think I'm moaning - I love your Autos and want to get these latest to into my token building arsenal as soon as I can...

Thanks and best regards...

Regarding 100,000 Tokens ... Joe says :

Make sure you don't have "clear type" fonts enabled.

Here's where to check :

1) right click your desktop and select "properties"
2) click on the "Appearance" tab
3) click on the "Effects" button
4) "uncheck" the box that says "Use the following method to smooth edges of your screen fonts"
5) press "OK"
6) press the "Apply" button on the other screen
7) reload the game
Nothing spoils a good story like the arrival of an eyewitness.

Thanks for the prompt reply *mayhem*... :)  Yes I've tried all that... but it doesn't solve the problem unfortunately... and I suspect it doesn't solve silmilar problems for other people...

As I should have said in the post at the start of this topic, I've tried every setting I can think of to get those two Autos to work (including taking everything back to the Windows default settings, rebooting etc..) and still can't get them to work... Thanks anyway for the help - maybe someone will come up with what it is that's causing the hiccup eventually...

For example, in the many posts about Stoppit staling at the "OK" prompt since Pogo changed Spike - for some of us it stalls and for others it doesn't. So what's the difference that makes it work for some and not others - when it was fine for everyone before? Why are some affected and others not?

Anyway, I'm rambling now  :o

Byeeee.... Keep up the good work...

The Windows compatibility solution mentioned in another post worked for me...  Setting compatibility to Win98 and Disabling Windows Themes did the trick...

I mentioned about trying the program compatibility.  I brought it up since after I made those changes, it got me more tokens than before, so I thought it was the answer...  But now, the program works sporatically or not at all.  I have tried everything else that others have mentioned.  I have only received about 26000 tokens total since registering and I sure don't think it's worth my time to sit and watch when it stops so I can start it again.  If I'm lucky and it does run, I get anywhere between 153 to around 700 before it quits.  It always stops at the beginning of the date when it says "start date over".  :'(

Windows XP
AMD Athlon 2600+
2.13 GHz, 512 MB RAM
IE 6
Mic VM (JIT enabled)
32 bit
smooth edges unchecked

If anyone has any other ideas I could try, it would be very much appreciated!

unchecking everything except the complier made the autos work for me

i have  to disagree Karen only because if POGO's servers are overloaded nothing will load, meaning the page to Virtual date or anything for that matter related to pogo. I run mine through out the day and late at night and it works fine, but when theres over 255,000 poeple on POGO  then the servers are going to go Nuts and nothing will load or load properly.

Maybe I am lucky being down under as my prime playing time is about 4pm onwards when most of the USA is sleeping. At times there are only 65000 people in POGO  O0
