Just little info even if u didnt use auto devices POGO'S rules clearly state "The use of machines, computers , scripts or any automated system to play the Games is strictly prohibited and may result in criminal liability under the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, Section 1030 of the United States Code.

so if you use a computer to play pogo game you are violating the law! ???

Section 1030 of the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act only refers to hacking. There is nothing illegal about auto use.

And BTW  a computer can never be random.......

OK.computers can NEVER be random............ why I hear you ask????

Because they have to be programmed by a human........therefore they can never be random

Not even  VEGAS !!! :P

You are almost correct... A program not dependent on any outside (i.e. natural / non organic) random occurrence will never be random.  However if a program is written to use an measurable random occurrence it can return a random result.  This is very difficult and programs such as this are very very rare though.  Most random events in programs are "pseudo-random" event that are based on mathematical algorithms.  You are correct that these only mimic randomness, and are prone to the bias that humans seem to inflict on anything we create.

RNG's in slot machines are even worse.  They use regenerated "random number" lists created by the pseudo-random generators.  They then cycle through the list at a  predetermined rate (about 30k events per second) until the generator is stopped by human action (hitting the spin button).  Thus humans are at both ends of the cycle. Even worse.  "Random" enough to be legal, but hardly random....

Is everyone asleep now??? 8)  Goooood....... :-X

what muncher quoted is food for thought if u really think about it.  8)

what jeffer said is very true.  if u can even comprehend let alone follow what was u know its the flat outright truth.  thats y so many people get in trouble at the casinos with those things coz they know what the algorithyms r and can figure them out and play accordingly.  i tell u what, if it wasnt for the fear of getting in trouble, i would probably play the slots at the casinos if i had the equation coz im a math whiz and can figure out all those crazy complex math equations.
