i hope i dont get in trouble for posting this. that is not my intentions.  this is an email i got in my pogo email box the other day and found it pretty funny and true all at the same time.  i have went thru and taken out all the pogo sn's that people have put at the end of the statement that they made.  so hopefully i am not breaking any of this forums rules by posting this. so here it is:

OK, I confess: I'm a gaming addict. And fairly recently I became an addict of the games on the Pogo website.  Aside from some really good arcade-style and casino games, Pogo also has chat rooms with every game.

There are a LOT of people who play on Pogo regularly. We're proud to be Pogo addicts. This list is dedicated to all of us who have no lives beyond Pogo when we're at home (and often when we're on vacation or at work).

Thanks to everyone on the A-Nile-ation Phlinx board who provided lots of material to get the list going!

You know you're a Pogo addict when...
You can't understand why nobody in your office cares that you just won 1,000 tokens in Tri-Peaks Solitaire.
You have a year's supply of Depends or a flower pot next to your computer.
You turn off the TV to hear the bingo caller on Pogo.
On Weds. you order pizza so you can play and get your badges .
You know your chat room mates better than you know your neighbors.
You take Weds off for a vacation day to get your badges.
You stay up late so you can get started early on your badges, in case there's a power outage and you can't get online.
My children do homework on my feet and I choose a non-timed game so I can answer questions.
You find out you can't play Pogo games on IE so you call your computer guy who spends 4 hours working on the comp and he can't figure it out either, and you panic wondering how you will ever play Pogo games again.
You take your laptop on vacation just to play pogo.
You can leave your computer, pee, and get back in time to catch the next round of Lottso.
You move your computer desk into the living room so you can watch color TV instead of b&w.
You play a game you can't stand just so you can get the badge for it.
Your mom/boyfriend/hubby/kids calls when you are trying to get a badge and you don't call back or even answer it.
You play while you're talking on the phone.
You name your pet Pogo.
You start to put abbreviations in your work emails like WTG, GRRRR8, etc.
You get a cell phone so you can stay online as long as you want.
You have more than one screen name and use both of them depending on what mood you're in.
You fret over your screen name because people reduce it to something stupid.
You actually hear the words "Have a good night" and "Take care" in your head when someone writes hagn tc.
You even know what hagn, tc, ns, and other abbreviations mean.
When you think you should get bonus tokens for spelling Pogo in Word Whomp.
When you date on Pogo.
When you meet your boyfriend/girlfriend on Pogo.
When you play on an old slow computer during a lightning storm.
You tell your kids that Weds. is your day on the computer to get your Pogo badges.
When you soothe the baby with the tune of popping balloons on Poppit.
When you tell your hubby to get his own puter because it takes you all week to get your badges.
You tell your hubby "Not tonight--I have a Pogo headache."
You tell your hubby, "I have to get my badge first!"
When you dream about the night round in Phlinx.
On Tuesday night you dream about next week's games.
When you have a falling dream and you think you are a Phlinx ball.
When you have a dream about the gator biting your behind in Greenback Bayou.
When you think it feels better than sex.
When your kitten gets up on your desk to get some attention from you, and you shoo it away.
You're more interested in Spike's makeover than world affairs. (And you know who Spike is.)
You forget to feed your kids because you are on pogo.
You know your pogo friends better than your family.
Your cats can play your games for you.
You have a fit because it takes you longer than 30 seconds to connect to the internet.
Your isp is down for whatever reason and all you can think is "I am missing out on getting those tokens and badges".

very funny but they forgot this one.

the only cleaning that gets done in your house is cleaning off the computer screen.... O0

GrumpyBear

You can leave your computer, pee, and get back in time to catch the next round of Lottso

My husband knows that Wednesday is TV dinner night.......I also took our laptop on vaction, just because we were going to be gone on a Wed, and needed to get my badges....LOL   :-*

I am NOT addicted  ::) , just EXTREMELY passionate about my badges.   >:D

I think I'm addicted and I totally relate to items on both lists.  My three year old recognizes this site when it comes up and she'll start saying, "Homer, Homer....please!!!"  That's because she loves the smileys he puts in his posts.  On badge day, I basically line up everything that needs to be done, so I don't waste precious moments, and hurry and get it done.  I'm also so guilty of spending the few moments before I go to bed on Tuesday night choosing my Personal Challenge so I don't waste time trying to pick one on Wednesday.
