in internet explorer click on Tools, then internet options
then select the advanced tab
scroll down to the java area

to use Sun Java, you would check that

to use microsoft VM check the JIT coplier for virtual machine
be sure to click apply and then close the window.  Restart internet explorer

only on jave should be checked at a time.
You can toggle between the javas, some games seem to run better with one or the other.

Better let Homer help with that since I don't use Win XP.  But I think MSVM java comes on all or most windows.

Could also try the other java to see if that helps, MSVM.  Let us know if you get it working or not.

to find your color setting and the smooth edges answer (which may very well be the problem)...

Right click on your desktop...
Properties
settings tab...your color settings will be on the right...should be at 32 bit

appearance tab
effects button
"use the following method to smooth screen fonts" should be unchecked...

Try that out and see what happens...Good luck!

1) Operating system (Windows 98, 2000, ME, XP etc)
2) Browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, Mozilla, Opera etc)
3) Color setting (24 bit, 32 bit etc)
4) Screen resolution (800x600, 1024x768)
5) Smooth edges of screen fonts checked or unchecked
6) What Java you are using
7) Is anything at all happening when you start the program

i got Windows XP
Internet Xplorer
Idk about the Color Setting (i have an accelerator called World Web Access Because i have dial up and it makes the pictures blury to make the speed go faster whitch i cant figure out how to change back)
1024x768  is screen
Im not really for sure what java it says Sun Java Console
When i start the program it comes up, then it says that i need to put the browser up (game) and i click retry and it keeps saying that.
