I'd say yes because that is how mine came.  If I can't get something to work with IE and MJVM, I open up pogo on Firefox and do it that way.  Seems like the spelling games working better for me with Sun but most of the rest work better with IE.
Good luck.

So does firefox automatically have sun java?  If so I should be all set because I do have firefox.  Thanks!

Momof5,

The way I did it was to just download the Firefox browser.  I only use Sun with Firefox and it should be all you need.

I am trying to get sun java and when I do i get this message:

This installation package could not be opened.  Verify that
the package exists and that you can access it, or contact the
application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer
  package.

Any ideas as to what I need to do to get sun Java installed?

I have both versions of Java on my comp, I ONLY use sun Java to play the older pogo games, like dominos, checkers etc. I use Microsoft VM for everything else, I leave Sun Java unchecked  and I always leave the Microsoft VM  JIT complier checked along with the Java console enabled checked, the sun Java does take longer to load games for me also, but i am running on win 98 and i go thru IE 6.0.  I found thatsome games run better on diff versions of the Java. Just throwing my 2 cents in there. HAGD all. :)

I don't know much about various Java logs but I do know this...Pogo has their own log, so it doesn't matter what you have on yours.  I don't think you need JIT checked with Sun, I could be wrong.  But, I don't and haven't had any problems with loading or auto programs.

I just downloaded sun java now I have ms vm and sun so my question is If I have it set right? (sun is checked and jit is checked)  the reason is that the games is taking forever to load with sun I always get that white screen with the javasun on it and it takes forever.  Also this might be a stupid question new to all of this but if you downloaded sun will that give you a new java log?  I dont know much about java's just know you need them to play a game and know sometimes Pogo might ask for a log and I dont know if an auto will show up on it.

Thank you so much

Yes I did

Your computer appears to be up-to-date; no critical or security updates are available at this time. To view available optional updates for your computer, click the Home link, and then click Custom Install. Windows Update will scan for optional updates. You can review the updates before downloading

Thnx for trying Barbara.  I think I totally screwed up this time.

yea i checked all the properties.  Seems my settings were right but it just wasn't doing anything. So i thought maybe i had an old version of sun java.  It wouldn't let me upgrade so I screwed up BIGTIME.

PLZ I hope someone can assist me here.

I noticed that all my autos work fine with the EXCEPTION of word games autos like tumblebees and whackdown.  It just sits there doing nothing.  I was reading up on the technical issue side of www auto issues.  Seems like the most common mistake was toggling back n forth between sun and vm.  I tried it with and without sun java.  It still doesn't work.  So stupid me deleted my sun java and tried to reinstall it with one of the links I saw from one of the admins here.

Now here is my problem. It can't complete installation.  I keep gettn an error message can't find source file c:windows/installer/MSIA.temp/

Am I totally screwed up now?  :'(  Does anyone know how to install a source file or know where I can download this file from?

Thnx
