It is if your screen flickers. If it does than you probably need to adjust the refresh rate. If your refresh rate is not set to an acceptable level it can be a terrible strain on the eyes. My old pc had to be set at 85 I believe but the one I use now was set to 60 and that seems to work well for me. ;)

Thanks Homer, I dont think the refresh rate is anything significant.

I'm not a programmer but I don't know that it has any effect on an auto's performance.

To read up on what a monitor refresh rate is click the link below.

When momma asked about the screen refresh rate, what does that mean, because I turn my monitor off at night, could this hurt my auto's preformance?

Jigsaw seems to be testy on some pc's. Fortunately it works for me. Whackster is only programmed to play until the end of the main round. It will soon play the bonus round but if your going for the golden carrot badge you don't want to play the bonus round. It slows your progress. Perfect Pair you should use version 2.2 if you have version 3 delete it and get version 2.2 from BadgeHelp. The only issue I am aware of with Pop Phooey is it will stop when it reaches a puzzle with the gates. That needs to be updated.

I have these same problems, I leave an auto on overnight, wake up and it stoped working after about 10 games of any game. I have to reopen the auto and reload the game room to get it to work again.

well...they just stop...jigsaw just sits there, whackster will play to the end of the last carrot, popphooey only plays about 6 games..than they just sit there...  perfect pair..
it doesn't matter if I use ie with jvm or firefox with sun what I find is funny is mole miner will work on my msn explorer but not my ie..so I am thinking it is my computer.  smooth edges are unchecked...I run xp pro....have everything set like you.  I do have norton's anti-virus usually the only thing that I have running is the auto and the feedreader to keep up with the forums...I dump my cache's and cookies and my temp fold is empty, I have ran spyware and virus ...my computer is clean
lol thanks for listening me ramble...

You seem to have enough memory unless you have an ungodly number of programs running at the same time.

When you say the program freezes could you describe what is happening? :o

My monitor is set at 60.

What do you mean your autos freeze up? Could you be a bit more specific?

How much RAM do you have. That could be an issue if you don't have enough.

Homer,
I have a question...what is your monitor refresh rate set on?
My DPI is on 96 and my monitor refresh rate is on 60 hertz
I do have the all in wonder radeon 9000 adapter.
Anyways just trying to figure out why sometimes my autos freeze up, I have everything set like you said in post above...
so just trying to troubleshoot this
thanks

I haven't come across the problem you speak of yet.

Let me tell you what settings I use for my autos and maybe that will help you.

Windows XP
Internet Explorer
1024x768
32 bit color
smooth edges off
Microsoft VM (only box checked is JIT Compiler) - You could also try switching to Sun Java

These settings allow me to run every auto. Hopefully this will help you. If you are able to get a screen shot of your problem email it to badgehelp@aol.com
