Honestly, Travolta's a pretty good actor.  However, I don't think he's capable of playing a character that's a true, nasty, son-of-a-b****.  None of his villainous characters ever came across right, to me at least.  It's like the entire time you watched him, you kept waiting for him to turn around and say "no, I'm just kidding."

I love John Travolta & I'm sure the movie will be good but hard to imagine anyone else being ole J.R. Ewing except Larry Hagman.  He just had the look, the evil grins, etc etc.   :) :)

speaking as a fan of Travolta from back in the Welcome Back Kotter days and Pulp Fiction, and really looking forward to seeing him play J.R in this one. From what i also heard there going to start filming in Oct.

So what do you guys think about John Travolta and J-Lo  being JR and Sue Ellen in a movie?
