I wish I could lie to you and tell you that I did fall. It would be a lot easier than saying that I was putting a trailer hitch on my car when I broke my leg.   :OO   What makes it so bad, it was just a bolt on trailer hitch, drill four holes and bolt it on. and that is all you will get out of me.  I guess it would have been funny as h@ll to watch  :))   In a way I guess it was a fall. However, you do NOT put one of them on when you are drunk.  Anyways, your brother will stay in my prayers. Hope he gets better really fast   0:

QUICK UPDATE: Jim is back in the hospital hes having surgery on his knee...he got an infection and now it is so bad they are taking muscle from his good leg and putting in his knee...he has a hugh gapping hole in his knee where they had to remove alot of damaged infected tissue...BUT luckily his circulation is very good and they are NOT goin to remove the metal that was placed on the femur....he will be sent home with IV antibiotics tho but a nurse will be coming regularly to keep an eye on everything.
His ankle is completely healed but the femur is not healing much at all ...very slow I guess it is his age that has to do with that and the infection.
On the up side his liver shows NO damage from his hepatitis....he had been diagnosed with hep c 15 years ago and the doctor says some peoples body just fight it off...now he did take milk thistle for years...it is a natural remedy for hep c (Pamela Anderson takes this ...just a little celeb gossip there quickly...lol) he had read this years ago and decided to try it...well it must of helped him....this doctor wants him to see a specialist for the hep after his leg is all done....the surgeon doin his op is one of the best in the world....he has done surgery on fetus' still in the womb....amazing!!
Anyway Jim's spirits are great and we just got back from visiting him...lol...he was watchin the race and just chilling ...I think hes going to be fine but the doctors didn't lie to him there is a chance the metal might still have to come out IF the infection doesn't get under control...another plus is he will not lose the leg no matter what because his circulation is very very good and thats the main thing...IF the metal comes out of the leg they will fit him with an outside contraption for the femur....big pain in the butt but if that is what he has to do then so be it...ok I guess thats it thanks everyone for all your prayers and concern

Kelly, I'm so glad to hear that Jim made it home ok. Now he'll be on the road to recovery.

Babies tend to have that effect on us!!! I bet he's adorable.

Glad to know your brother is recovering and all is well with the family. I will continue to pray for his recovery. I agree with you about the baby. My grandson did the peeing thing only he caught me on the side of my face. I told him not nice . And it never happened again. I also told my husband I wanted a baby and he glared at me. I think he thought 52 (almost 53) year old woman was too old to raising babies. Not to mention he is almost 60. I just have to love everybody babies. My daughter says every time we go somewhere she turns around and I am holding a baby. I just adore children of all ages anyway. Best Wishes to your brother and his family

everything looks good for him to return home tomorrow Helen...also his workmans comp came thru so hes not worrying about the bills...which is a big relief off my mind too...they will be just fine the baby is just so awesome...I am going to try and figure out how to get the pic of him off my camera phone and post it for y'all to see him later tonight....I just got back from shopping....finally had a day off...my manager wants me to join curves with her but I feel like I just got a work out doing the shopping..lmbo

thanks for askin Helen  :)

You're welcome Kelly. I'm so glad that things are falling into place for him. Having the worker's comp come through is a huge burden off his mind. I'm looking forward to seeing a pic of the baby.

Shopping can be a huge workout, lol. I really don't mind the shopping, it's bringing them in the house and putting them away that I don't like.

I'll still keep all of you in my prayers.
