I think you are exactly right. Adam would not appeal to Gokey fans at all. They didn't want an Idol who wore fingernail polish unless they were voting a female.

I bet when Danny got voted off, the Danny-Fans related more to Kris than to Adam.  Kris probably inherited Danny votes.

I think Kris appeals to more of the general public.  Adam is really a rocker and a hard one at that.  Both are talented and I wish them both well!

Kris is a good singer but I do not think he will sell as many CDs as Adam Lambert. Nor are they going to flock to see him as they would someone who looks more of a whole package of entertainment. Sort of reminds me of Clay Aiken who made way more money than the winner Ruben Studdard. But since AI gets a cut of their winnings it is their bad. A sample of former winners is really sad: Jordan Sparks, Taylor Hicks and David Cook. None have the star quality needed to continue in this business very long.

I have always believed that American Idol is a rigged show. They favor certain singers during the shows and ignore others. I quit voting when Jasmine Trias had people in Hawaii manning huge phone banks and it still didn't help her. I think the winner is pretty much chosen by the producers from day one. In other words I don't think of this show as a reality show - just fun entertainment.
