It worked in Texas Hold em for me but it did not work in Omaha for me.

No, it doesn't, does it? Pogo says you can't use jokers if you're going toward those badges.
At the moment there is a small glitch in hold em,if you get the royal or aces with a joker and fold the hand you will get the badge.I don't think it works in omaha anymore if you are using the jokers,but who knows.
  The royal in hold em is the one badge that is eluding me.

I got the rising star badge on rank 2. I don't know how many hands that was and later got the 4 aces..still no royal though :(
