Thanks for info, but not only was it in news every 5-10 minutes this AM, but also a big article in the newspaper...lol.

Actually I would hope it blew up on me or started a fire so I could SUE...lol.  Not a nice thing to say since Dell is in the process of opening a plant here to build computers.

Anyway, if anyone knows someone with a Dell Laptop, tell them not to turn on or charge the battery because it could overheat and start a fire.

The batteries were made by Sony and not Dell, so I am sure Dell will never have dealings with them again.

"Dell, the world's largest PC maker, announced the recall Monday night with the Consumer Products Safety Commission. It was the largest electronics-related recall involving the federal agency.

The recalled batteries were shipped in notebooks sold between April 1, 2004, and July 18 of this year. The were included in some models of Round Rock, Texas-based Dell's Latitude, Inspiron, XPS and Precision mobile workstation notebooks."
