its really easy-- like my set up has my dsl for my computer and i am runnig a 50 ft ethernet to my ps2 in my other room-- all thru my router-- which sits ontop of my dsl modem -i can be online and play games thru my ps2 online also  Wen

if you want dsl on 2 computers you still need a router, its pretty simple to do, I was just telling you if you wanted to crerate a network and have multiple Pc's you can.

yes that is correct, but then you have to program each pc with a different code #, example pc 1 would be 201, pc # would be 202, pc 3 would be 203, If you have a log in screen on pc 1 ( screen name & password) you can program the other Pc's just to click the "e" to surf there would not be any of that pick a screen name crap on the other PC's

so if i get a router i could just hook up one cord from the modem to the router then get 2 more cords and hook them up from the router to the computers right?

The 1 port on your dsl modem connects to the router the router has multiple ports

your DSL Modem CONNECTS to a ROUTER (the router acts as a Firewall) then you can hook up multiple PC's to the router! If you get a wireless Router then you dont have cables and cords running all over your main Pc that has your DSL modem connected to it. A router is a little bit bigger then a dsl modem and the back of the router can have 4 or more jacks to build a networking system.

umm my brother said i can't get a router b/c the dsl router is my modom so i need some kind of network thingy could anyone please send me a picture of what it looks like through my email my email is jjw1988@hotmail.com i appreciate this and thank you.
