I have tried everything in the world with both autos.

I think that the isp speed and thoroughput have something to do with it.

If jigsaw loses connection to the web for even a split second it locks up.

I could be wrong, but either way, these autos have never finished more than 1 puzzle and that is rare.

I really wish sometihng could be done about this, I would love to have those badges.

Here are my spec for my pc that wont run the auto - it use to when it first came out , but not now

1.) Operating system - XP home edition
     2.) Browser - Internet Explorer
     3.) Color settings-  32
     4.) Screen resolution -  1024x768
5.) Smooth edges of screen fonts checked or unchecked? - Not sure where to check
6.) What Java you are using? - sun
7.) What agent are you using? - have tried both
8.) What version number is this agent? - sherlock is 1.5 - jigsaw is 6.4
9.) What specifically is the problem? - one picks up pieces and puts in pile and does nothing else - the other one does border than stops?

would really like to be able to use these again, since I purchased them when they worked..
Any help would be grateful :OO

hi sunshineboy_13 how much ram does your system have? i have 2 gig of ram and my jigsaw program runs perfert with no promblems at all
sorry to hear that your having trouble check your ram and if you have only 512 of ram most computers you can add ram
to a system

orion42

p.s also turn off programs running in the backround while you are using the helper you right click on bottom screen and open
task manager and hit programs will show you how many are running in backround then just turn them off ,when you restart
your system all programs you turned off will be on again  O0

Hello
On  Jigsaw Puzzle, I have learned that it may work with SUNJAVA,Or it may not.
I switch over to JIT and I will tell you the auto rips away with no problems
Just try it..... It is not the Auto at 6.4 and also use IE or FireFox M
I hope this is some help and you get the Auto running.
Good Luck....

I have a fast new computer with loads of memory, never run anything other than pogo and the game player and have continual problems with this player, I play medium have the sound turned off etc.  It loses pieces in the game and cannot recover on it's own.  I love all the players these guys make but don't understand why this happens each time.  I clear my cache after every game using window washer etc.  <?>

P.S.  love the icons... these are a riot

Try posting your specs so someone can help you.

1.) Operating system (Windows 98, 2000, ME, XP etc)?
2.) Browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, AOL, Mozilla, Opera etc)?
3.) Color setting (24 bit, 32 bit etc)?
     4.) Screen resolution (800x600, 1024x768)?
5.) Smooth edges of screen fonts checked or unchecked?
6.) What Java you are using?
7.) What agent are you using?
8.) What version number is this agent?
9.) What specifically is the problem?

Clicking on the link below will give you the answers to questions  1,3,4 and 5.

I am having trouble with the Jigsaw auto, I have purchased this a couple of yrs ago, the first one worked perfectly, but since then I have not been able to get it to work properly.  Could someone explain to me what needs to be done.. to use this auto.  What it does now it gathers all pieces (including the draw pieces)  and then nothing.

Window XP Home Edition is my OS..  Any help would be greatly appreciated... :OO

The problem with the Jigsaw autos is that people fill their OS's full of stuff. They install everything under the sun and have 20 things that load up on startup. That eats up all your available memory.

Please keep in mind, the jigsaw game itself takes up over 100MB of memory. If your computer does not have 512MB memory, the jigsaw game is going to be stored in your pagefile / swapfile (on your hard disk).

The pagefile is 100x slower than "physical ram". The game is going to lag and mess the timings up in the auto.

It's impossible for the programmers to "custom" make autos to suit everyones specific configurations. These autos are made on Windows XP with nothing else running in the background / have nothing being loaded up during startup.

The jigsaw game uses A LOT of system resources .. so if your computer is 5+ years old, chances are it won't work for you or only work partly.

Thankfully, it appears that this is the only game that uses that much ram / system resources. The rest of the autos are like 99% compatible with everyone.

Mayhem, Oscar or anyone technical,
How do I know what I can safely turn off under my " Processes" tab?
I definitely turn off all  " Applications" which is easy as pie, but I am not familiar enough with the 46 startup Processes to know which ones are safe to turn off and still have a stable, fully functional computer.

I have a large amount of physical and video memory, a fast processor, good ATI video card, etc. and an overall good PC notebook, but there are times when I have wondered if some problems related to some of the autos was because of all the System Processes running automatically.

Is there a way to know what it essential and what's not? Also, is it safe to play on Pogo with AV off?

Thank you!!!

Lily
