I'm assuming that your trying to copy a color from an image you already have. You need to click on the dropper tool then move it to the image and click on the color you wish to select. Then depending on what you want to do with the color there are a number of tools and effects you can use with it.

I use photoshop...that shwt I used to make my siggy but it takes a little to get used to it because it can do sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much its rediculous

You can add color with MS Paint which comes with windows. ;)

I use Paint Shop Pro 8 you can download a 30 day trial from www.jasc.com although I would wait for PSP9. It should be out soon.

There are many websites and software programs to make these and much more. ;)
