Just asked my ISP about this maybe you should ask yours too, if a WEP is set already.

How do I find my WEP Passphrase or WEP Key?
Click on Gateway Summary

Click on Wireless Security

This screen will display your WEP Passphrase, WEP Key as well as your WEP Encryption Strength.

Yup Homer is correct..the WEP key is something you do when setting up a wireless network. WEP key is nothing but a big password you setup and then its saved in a Encrypted Format.Do go to the Manufacture web site as Homer said and they will tell you how to set it up. But if there is one set already then thats another problem, might need to buy a WEP key finder tool that will decode all stored wireless keys on that PC..cost around $50, hate to see you have to go that way. Have you looked at the bottom of the modem? That is where mine is located...it came with the wireless enabled. I know that there are some out there where you have to enable it yourself and create your own WEP key so it would depend on what you have. Calling the manufacturer is a good idea or tech support for your ISP if that is where you got the modem from.

Somewhere along the process it should have asked you to set the key. It's been a while since I setup my router. You can usually call the manufacturers support line and they will walk you through the process.
