Often times in movies you will see someone going crazy, repeating the same phrase or just talking nonsense and suddenly someone slaps them in the face. This immediately shakes the person up and seems to calm them down.
It seems there are often moments here on the forum where something funny happens and Homer did not think of it first or worse, we ask a question he does not know the ANSWER to. It is then these "slaps in the face" arise and suddenly the person stops, sits back and takes a look at the big picture of everything they were doing by not including Homer in the fun or asking something he can't answer without asking Monkey.
Sooo...I'm thinking maybe Homer has watched one too many movies. <:>
