Two things.
Number one, on your 150 page, you have the choice of WHOMPSTER which works best in VITSA and WHOMPER is another program that is not very VISTA friendly.
Number two, one issue I always had with WHOMPSTER is if you set it up to bypass 6-letter words, it will soon crash. Same type of thing happens in WORD WHOMP WHACKDOWN if you bypass the SPEED ROUND.
As Oscar says, dial the auto back a little. This cheat is so fast it will bog down Pogo if you run it max.

- January 29, 2009, 07:11:18 PMwhen i was working on word whomp, and i ran the auto too fast, the gopher would not get to finish moving along the bottom of the screen, and eating his vegetables. eventually, he would get an unknown amount behind because he would still be eating the last word carrot when my auto was winning the next game, and i would get the cripes errors. try slowing your auto down so that the gopher finishes moving at about the same time your jp spin finishes, and that may stop the cripes error... it worked for me.

The game did something completely unexpected internally and cannot continue working, no matter what." I find certain games like Word Whomp and a couple of others have bugs that Pogo just isn't going to fix but they at least admit it even if they use an "exasperative" to do so. And yes, I think I made up a word to describe their made up word. (And "you're" was Pogo error).

Pogo has always been quirky with the cripes errors. I've never been able to figure out what causes them or what makes them go away
