It's likely spyware.

Download Ad Aware or Spybot Search and Destroy (preferably both).  Both are free and reliable spyware removers.  The first time you do this run the programs multiple times until they stop finding programs.

I like Webroot Spy Sweeper, but it's not free.  You get a free trial with one definition update.  That makes it good for a week or so.

Most people like to run at least two anti-spyware program. 

That's it in a nutshell.  You might want to go to cnet.com and read their spyware primer...

Ya know that could be it, they seem to be casino shorcuts but did get a expedia....but was looking for airline tickets so could be thanks

This happens a lot at work to the other pc's.. It's from surfing the net I think, the boss's kids are notorious for getting those casino games on their desktop. You might want to check your popup settings. If you disable the popup's I think that might help you out some.

Has anyone been finding shortcuts being added to their desktops? It has begun happening today and is annoying the  :-X out of me!! Everytime I look, BAM another shortcuts to a site I have no interest in........is this a virus, or just another spamming program....
