My Trend is doing the same and will not let it run, even if I go in through programs.  Hope there is a fix coming for this.  I use it all the time. coffee.gif

There's a little disclaimer thingy that pops up saying not to delete the file if it get's quarantined, just leave it alone and wait for future updates to come out to fix it.

I'm on a 30 day trial for Trend Micro.  Should I be rethinking this?

Don't know what to tell you. McAfreak did the same thing to me several months ago on my laptop. I uninstalled it, put on TM and it didn't have a problem with the same program that McA did.

I just ran TrendMicro and it says I have a worm quarantined and it was found in ACS, but only on the desktop, not the laptop. I am not sure how reliable TM is lately. It found Trojans in Oberon downloadable games, too.

Well technically this does not make them fine. But it more than likely means they are not infected with the Conficker C worm which is said to not allow you to update. Making someone fine probably takes more than that.

It's really dumb. It also found it in RedBaron, which has been on my computer forever and has never come up showing anything. TM said it successfully quaratined everything, and my computer is running fine.

I would really check it out further, but I can't bring myself to close down my auto and do anything else.

Just try and go into Windows Update, if you can get in there you are fine.

According to an article by Dwight Silverman dated 3/30/09 " Conflicker " aka Downadup is a worm that is very real . Whether or not the actual threat will be carried out as suggested on 4/1/09 is not a certainty but it would be wise to have all protective systems up to date including Microsoft Windows patches . If in question , visit http://isc.sans.org/diary.html?stroryid=5860 . A detailed and frequently updated list of removal tools and instuctions may be found here .   AB

The worm may be real, but the suggestions of having to upgrade to IE8 , change your calendar, and your clocks and crap like that isn't real. I'm sure people here already have done that though because they trust the advice in the TECH section.
