I don't have Norton but usually you can turn it off via one of the options by right clicking the icon in the system tray. You can also have Norton ignore the BH folder. I think CrazyMan knows how to do that.

How do you temprorarily turn off Norton so you can download from BH?
I had to uninstall McAfee because it was blocking me from doing this and purchased Norton v5.
I had Norton on my computer that just broke and so I didn't realize it would block BH on this computer.
Now I don't know how to get it to allow downloads from BH.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I report nothing to Norton, yet I know BH programs are safe. I just turn off my AV for a few seconds while downloading and installing the programs. Cnet helped with many updates. I'm kinda sad that so many had a tough time learning how to use it, I truly think there are many here that would help, if needed. Good luck, hope you get it worked out.

Please report this to your AV as a false positive, you can then temporarily disable your AV while you use BH
