ohh yeah.. the funniest part I forgot....

when people were accusing this person of cheating...

one of this person's replies was " I am not using an auto"

and of course after that was said. I am pretty sure tons of people reported this person.

Then a couple days later, a person was on this site griping about getting a 72 hour ban.

lol

I was playing squelchies one day when some guy (an auto user) brags in lobby about finishing the whole game and getting the badges.  When I see that I kind of cringed.  I stopped playing and just watched.

About 2 minutes later a person comes on and says "geez" your stats show you won 150 rounds in a row.  Well you can see where it went from there.

Now that this person is being accused of being a cheater by several people in lobby, s/he is argueing with people that he is not using a cheat.

To make matter worse. Someone in lobby says "wow" you have done all 50 ranks and only been playing since this date (can't remember).

So i click stats page on this auto user and he has done all 50 ranks in 2 weeks.

People like this hurt us all.  This person was obviously cheating.  Why would s/he brag about it?

I try and stay out of busy rooms to stop anybody from accusing me of anything.

And I always play bots when possible when using an auto.

Moral:  PLEASE DON'T BRAG ABOUT A BADGE YOU CHEATED TO GET.  PLEASE IT HURTS US ALL.

When you win a game, you are awarded rank points towards the next rank. Higher difficulty levels award more rank points than lower difficulty levels because they're harder and they take longer:

Beginner: 8 rank points per game

Easy: 9 rank points per game

Medium: 10 rank points per game
Hard: 11 rank points per game
Expert: 12 rank points per game

There are 5 rank badges you can win in Squelchies. The badges are given out when you achieve ranks 3, 10, 20, 33 and 50.

Did anyone notice today when they were playing squelchies that on the hard level you get about 3000 rank points or was it just me?  It told me I was getting that many but I didn't progress in ranks when I only needed 400 rank points for my next rank.  just wondering if anyone else noticed it.

:;'

that 3,000 is how many you've done total. I thought the same thing you did when I saw that, but that's something they must've incooperated with the game during the update yesterday. You typically only move up 10 rank points every game (after three rounds).

Yes it is a shame that we cannot just play and have fun without running scared. I bought the complete package of autos, but personally i have used 3 of them on my own games. (dice derby, greenback, and pop fu) for omg i just don't like those games, lol.

I also loved to have the high scores especially in Phlinx, but now i barely even play it anymore, because of what people do and how they accuse you everytime you turn around. And Motely your exactly right I play on pogo alot, faithfully everday and ssshh sometimes for hours on end. But i enjoy it. But now find myself if playing cards sitting by myself in a private room to avoid nonsense.

In squelchies yesterday i wanted to blow a gasket because one person was babbling about someone already having all the badges in the game. They started blowing steam about people that use "autos". They went on and on.. So all i said is obviously the person that holds all the badges was NOT using an auto that they must of hacked java. And that i would not want to be in that person's shoes when they are in jail. Well i ended up ignoring them because they kept it up about "auto use" stating that people that cheat at a game cheat in life...

Needless to say I think everyone should just be happy and not worry about what you neighbor is doing.  :-\

I hear you completely BadWolf, it is a shame when people can't be competitive without fear of being reported.  Pogo created that monster by posting in their news section about cheaters.  Yes, there were snitches before but it seems to have gotten worse.  We might as well get out our broomsticks, cauldrons, pointy hats and turn the clock back a few hundred years and move to Salem because that's what it feels like.  I don't particularly like Squelchies but I'm not horrible at it, I once made it to round 30, which is good for me because I find the game dull and to sit there that long is an accomplishment for me.  When I first started playing Pogo, I played to get the high score, now I too, cringe when I get it.  I don't use an auto on all of my games and I didn't use the Word Jong glitch.  I wish I had because I only have the first game badge for it.  But then again, maybe not, people will see that and I'd be reported.  What's next?  Too many badges will get you reported?  The fact that you play everyday?  What people need to realize that it is just a game, it isn't going to win you the lottery, cure diseases, or bring peace to the world.  If snitches learned to stop nosing into other players business, maybe they'd have time to earn a high score or get more badges.

Last night while playing Squelchies, I managed to catch 46 of those buggers in the pail in the bonus round and it sent my score to the second highest on the board.  Instead of being proud, I left the room...it's also the same fear I have when I get 2 or more bingos in a session.  I don't like that they capped it a 3 winners on that, it does take away from those that don't cheat and it is possible when there are 30 people in the room and all but 5 numbers have been called.  They should just fix that so your game automatically calls Bingo when you have one.

Ok, I'm done now but I had to get that out, especially the Bingo one, I was robbed because I didn't call quick enough a few times.
