Ah, you're right it appears to just continue to spin - but it will stop after the meter fills up and shows the game summary.

So you still need the cheat to play the bonus game and nag screens.

Actually you do not have to click it again. It keeps going till you stop it even if you get to twenty after the award screen for the coins.
