When I found out about the spider glitch, I also did a few friends for them.  However to keep from being suspicious to the "snitches" I did the ranks in intervals rather than all the badges being close together,  actually took my chances on the glitch being unfixed and did them over a 3 day period, so all the badges didn't have the same dates on them.  Got to within one game from next badge and stopped then waited till late night or early morning to get the next badge, and then looked up games I was close to next badge in and did them in-between... helped me to get on the ball with the games that were needing finished plus got all the spider badges all in one.  I did the same method with the Word Jong last fall.  This way it helps to not get the "snitches" in an uproar.

that is some very good advice to follow in the future when using autos and or glitches in any game.  keep an eye open on the chat area.  first mention of auto use,  cheaters, someone having too many badges or tokens, etc.  quickly run away.

I would'nt 'run away' it's the first sign that you are/were guilty. just stop the auto and continue on for a little bit and don't chat back unless chatted to first by your screen name.

{TIP}
while the auto is running, intentionly lose once in awhile to keep the your game stats in check realisticly.

me too.  im gonna be very carefull too.  i always made sure i went into a pretty full room to where my name didnt show up in the whos here list without having to scroll.  my sn is nere the top of the alphabet so i always have to be careful anyway.  i hurried and got mine and a few other friends done before wednesday morning expecting there to be problems because of badge day with a badge in that game and it paid off - for the time being.  and yes who ever posted about changing rooms when people would start talking about the topic was an excellent idea.  i had to do that once because one of the rooms i was in people started talking about cheaters coz someone asked about why people kept going in and out of the room.  that sent a red flag up to me to hurry out of there.

it is just purely random with the suspension.  i did mine, and 4 other friends accounts using the glitch - with their permission first of course - and none of us have gotten banned and between the 5 of us we are all over the alphabet.  but we did get ours on tuesday which is before badges are released.  maybe that has something to do with it.  i dont know.

The glitch was to wait for the game to load and the game area to go dark and close out or refresh. It's something that anyone could do and not know they did it.

The suspensions from it to me is random. Sure ther's some who deserved the suspension and got it, but I've seen people get all the badges and are still playing, and those know never even knew they used the glitch to be flagged for suspension.

I'm laying low and spending my time in uncensored rooms.  I figure even a snitch isn't going to take the time to create an email for pogo, and you can't report right from the rooms.

Even if I do get the suspension, it's my own fault.  I cheated.  I'll be happy to only have a 3-day suspension, as to not lose over 300 badges.

Pogo doesn't always e-mail people to warn them of bans and suspensions.
As for your friend, using a macro program to spam the room with messages is against the TOS.  It is actually the only way a league host could possibly address the players in real time and be noticed.  Pogo needs to change their policy on this if they wish for people to host and join leagues.
Pogo just seems full of themself lately.

The Most amazing thing happened to me last night. I got temporarily banned from Pogo for breaking the terms of Service. No Email, no Notice! Just a quick pop up and pogo mail closed to me. My Pogo name is in the C's and honey, I was suspended by 7pm est.
Now the most amazing other thing is a few of my friends got the same message and one finally got her email and it was for using CAPS in the room and a Macros program and considering the fact thats she's a Tournament Director, Thats a scary thought...
I can't help it if I was playing in hard on Spider, I was at level 22 and I do love the game. I laughed every time pogo kicked me out of the room after not loading the tokies and I found my percentage going up. Am I to Stop trying to get into the room?.....Pogo might wind up paying a few ppl for frustration and aggravation before this is over with. How many lawyers got suspended? :-X
I just wish I could get back in to watch the fun. 8)

At about 2pm EST yesterday, my Mom got that lil pop up thingy saying they were investigating the problem... blah blah blah.  She of course didn't have a CLUE what they were talking about.  It was posted to a group I belong to and sure enough, someone got their account suspended just before 3pm.  He wrote Pogo and got the following response;

Greetings,
Your account was suspended for 72 hours for using Rainy Day Solitaire exploit in the game.

Your account will be available for use after the suspension has expired

I'm guessing most have gotten their accounts suspended by now... by Monday it should all be back to normal... well normal for Pogo that is!  I received a TON of Pogo mail messages about the glitch.... now everyone is running and deleting all evidence of it!  Always remember.... BIG BROTHER POGO is always watching and has many peons who are spying for him too!  :D

QuoteSurely if there is a problem that is causing us to all be booted from the game room frequently then none of us actually took advantage of the glitch....we were just desperately trying to get into the game?  We were just unfortunate enough for pogo to continue booting us until it was too late and we already had the badges due to the glitch and there was no point playing anymore.

I was thinking the same thing! I know so many were having problems with RDSS that they kept getting booted out of the game. So really, I wonder how many got suspended from the glitch, when in fact Pogo had problems with the game anyway.

QuoteWe're investigating a problem that is causing the game to disconnect players frequently

Isn't that the same thing as the glitch?? Or are they trying to disassociate one with the other?

I'm just curious, I have lots of people on my friends list, but only one that I can't view their badges today.  I get an error from pogo about problems and to try again later.
Could this have something to do with the glitch?
This person isn't my friend but just someone that was asking questions last nigh, so I added them so that I could keep an eye on them.
So are they a spy or do they have a program that will hide their badges from me??? :-X

Ya know POGO is full of it in this instance for sure...They screw up and then they somehow twist it around that players are doing something wrong???
Obviously the Employees of EA didn't ever get taught what most of us have been and that is "If you screw up you pay for it"
So HELLLLLLLLO POGO...your mess...your programmers screwed up...so deal with it.

Just another reason to not pay for a year of POGO...if they ban mine oh well guess that means they can no longer bill my CC that monthly fee..LOL
