IE_ClrSch is a file inside the folder Clear Search in my program files folder....
I tried deleting this (as it gives me a search bar next to my address bar which I want to get rid of) and it says access denied... make sure it isnt write protected or currently in use... well
Any ideas on how to get rid of it?
Jeff read this:

Thanks Bud...
Running adaware right now.
;D
You're awesome
Your welcome. ;) If Adaware does not get rid of it try Spybot search & Destroy. :)
Looks like that may be what I have to do.. adaware didnt find it... it found other files tho.
GRRR @ spyware...
yea i know i HATE that spyware stuff that you cant just manually delete >:(
thats y i hate them
Just curious...Did you try the remover on the site I provided?
lol let me look
yes but to remove the files, you have to buy the program.... <edit by John>
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Lol
lol that sounds funny after it was edited
yeah well... I guess the file will remain there until I find a solution.
Go in to windows in safe mode... Then delete the file out... Just hold down the f8 key while windows is booting up and it will bring up the OS choice menu where you can choose to have it boot in safe mode...
Wellllllll... My computer must be retarded or something... it sat there for five minutes and didnt do squat... just had a list of .sys files.
::)
Like I say... the file will remain there.
My only option really is to format and that just takes forever... I think I may do it next week while I am home on spring break.

That tells me how to remove it... I will look into it.
Thank God for Google...
I've got a program called DelayDelete if you want Jeff... Its just a small exe file and any time you have a file you can't delete you just drag and drop it onto the exe file... Then when you restart your computer, before anything can take over the access rights to the file, delaydelete will have your OS delete the file out... Pretty cool stuff... Pretty easy to use too... I'd have to go digging through my harddrives to find it but I'm sure I could get it if you wanted it...
Well I would hate to be a thorn in your side, but that sounds like it would be awesome if it worked.
Whever ya get it to me is fine.
Hum.... I now have another file.... Ad Serve
DAMN SPYWARE SHOULD NOT BE ON MY COMPUTER...
I have norton and it doesnt do shizzle...
>:( >:( >:(>:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(
Found it... Just PM your email that you want me to send it to... And I can send it on over... I have like 7 harddrives I had to go looking through... ::) Too damn many... That's what I say...
hmm sounds like i sweet program can you give it to me too 8) i'll PM you my e-mail ;)
Totally... I go to work tomorow morning @ 8... As soon as I get there I can send it on over ;D
Thanks alot :)
Yo fatkid.... Are you having problems getting that program? lol... I PMed you my addy...
I kinda want that, because now I have this dang Ad Serve thing that is the same way... >:( >:( >:(
Thanks for trying but that didnt remove the file either.
Did you drop the bad file into the .exe file and then reboot?
If not that's what you have to do... If you did that then what is happening is there is more spyware than just that file... Something else is finding that the file has been deleted and then creating it all over again once it has been deleted... Sounds like it might be time to back up and format...
Seriously... I love reformatting... You get that fresh clean computer smell all over again... It's wonderful... ;D
Keep a field disk... I have a 512mb flash drive that I store all of the setup files for things that I need (Mozilla, mIRC, video codecs, Nero, etc etc)... I've done the formatting so often that I can usually have my whole computer backed up and completely updated with all programs in under an hour and a half... :)
I can usually get WindowsXP (all updates from the net), MS Office 2003, Adobe CS, Macromedia MX 2004, and then a few odds and ends other apps I need installed in the full time... I do this formatting crap day in and day out, so it's like second nature now...
Yeah I just have to formatt computers for neighbors, myself, parents, and all the time at work... :P
Yea I think I may as well format....
fdisk
format c:
then what? lol I always forget what to push
Wait... I should just be able to throw in my windows XP CD right?
Yeah just put the windows cd and restart
Then while booting it should say something like Press any key to boot from cd . . .
If it doesn't say that you need to go into your BIOS and change the boot order
Best boot order is usually the A:\ (floppy) then d:\ or e:\ (cd-rom) then c:\ (hdd)...
Best of luck to you... Also remember to have your XP cd key or you will be SOL during the installation...
yep yep.... got it... thanks man... I am just going to do that... less of a hassle.
Backing up my files right now.... some on CD some on FTP
