Title: New Tutorial added ... What would you like next?
Post by: Shady Lady on February 16, 2006, 03:18:47 AM
I've added a 2nd method for adding glitter to a picture. I think the 2nd one is much easier.

I've got the tutorial for adding glitter to an animation in the works. What would you like to learn how to do next?

I'm sure I can figure it out. It just has several layers and animations. The steps should be alot like the St. Patty Dog Globe I made.

The reflection/ripple is done is done with the visman filter lakeside reflection that was downloaded in the making your own glitter files tutorial. You can find it under Effects ... Plug-Ins ... VM Natural in PSP after you've downloaded the filter.

If anyone is having trouble and getting an error message with the visman or any other filters when you try to use them. Let me know. There are several fixes. Just need to know the error message.

Post by: Shady Lady on February 17, 2006, 03:16:13 PM
mack,
I'm sending the files you need to homer. It's the visman filter and 3 dll files. Look in your visman folder. If you see lakeref.8bf there, you don't need to redownload visman. If it's not there download it again from the one I'm sending Homer. Also, download the plug-in zip and the dll zip to your Windows/System Folder. Some computers have them already. Mine didn't and I had to get them.

Post by: TmT on February 17, 2006, 03:45:47 PM
Shady... Im workin with Visman and VM Natural... both program when u try to convert the "name to animation" come up with error message... quote: -- Paint Shop Pro was unable to load the requested plug-in-filter....etc statin I need laker8bf.... etc... I see that file in both program... apparently u came across same error message...

What dll do I need... I made the signature 3xs usin almathera...but effects not what I want....

Psp is sayin program visman or vm natural did not install

Title: Re: New Tutorial added ... What would you like next?
Post by: TmT on February 17, 2006, 07:54:31 PM
Ok.. in the top right corner of PSP 9  you will see a box that says "materials"   you select background color... example now my top sq box is white... once you open that box...<by double clicking the color> down at the bottom you will see HTML... you create the color they want you to use by Highlighting the current HTML code to 839ccf.... those numbers jus represent color... its jus a color code
Title: Re: New Tutorial added ... What would you like next?

now how do i do step 5 thanks for helping
Title: Re: New Tutorial added ... What would you like next?
Post by: TmT on February 17, 2006, 08:00:32 PM
lol.. np... on PSP 8 your material box should be to your left... its a box that has primary colors... when you change a color you normally just click your material box... well... if they want to use a particular color... its easy to jus type the color code in........ so on PSP.. once you activate the color box..<material box>  down at the bottom u will see HTML.. highlight the current color there and type in the color they want u to use
Title: Re: New Tutorial added ... What would you like next?
Post by: TmT on February 17, 2006, 08:03:00 PM
Ok..this is easy as step 4... because now u know where your material property box is... there are 3 tabs up the top... the middle tap is gradient
Title: Re: New Tutorial added ... What would you like next?
Post by: macktami95 on February 17, 2006, 08:19:24 PM

Title: Re: New Tutorial added ... What would you like next?
Post by: TmT on February 17, 2006, 08:38:12 PM
Ok.. Im doin this project with u.. Im farther down the steps... I was tryin to do it in case u asked me a question... ..now the answer to your question.....

before you open the gradient box.......... look at the material property box.. u will see two squares usually they both are white if you have not changed them... since u have changed one to 8c9ccf  the other box jus below it maybe white if you never changed your background box...... hold the mouse over it... it will say "background"

Find in psp 8 where you see the big red(forground) and white(background) squares are in the image above. When you click on them, a box will open up. It will say Material at the top. Just above Cancel enter the color # where it says html

Step 5: click just like you did to change the color. there are tabs at the top. click on gradient. There is a gradient called forground-background  scroll down & select it. Settings: repeats ... 1 Style ... click button on left and click ok

To make it bigger resize your animation. To do this open the animation back up in animation shop. click on animation then click on resize animation. I'll have to go through the tutorial to figure out why you don't have animation but I'm guessing you missed a step in the animation part of the tutorail. I'd try printing it so you have it in front of you and going back through each step.

Title: Re: New Tutorial added ... What would you like next?

I've scanned over it but I haven't had a chance to do it yet. I am almost done with the Icon background for Patty. The puff people are next on my to do list. It looks pretty straight forward so shouldn't be a rough one. They're cute as can be too.

Going to write some simpler steps for the puffpeople tutorial.
I started to follow hers and realized there was a easier way to do it.

The font zip link is correct now. I sent Homer an email with the picture tube file to replace the image file. I've put in a temporary step to do until he gets it switched.

An Error Has Occurred!
You can't report your own post to the moderator, that doesn't make sense!

.......... Make sense to me to not have an empty image on the forum----- <<maybe I need my medz...cuz what make sense to me...do not to others....>>

Post by: TmT on February 25, 2006, 05:56:46 AM
I uploaded it transparent on Photobucket... lol... I knew u would post back sayin that was not it....but I originally d/l it as transparent but for some reason lately the images I've uploaded on photobucket loses something in the conversion-uploade... I dont get it...... but seems every thing is effected and not as the original upload image..............

I should have said..." oh btw... that image was transform to a white bg... <back ground>  "
Title: Re: New Tutorial added ... What would you like next?
Post by: TmT on February 25, 2006, 05:59:08 AM
oopz.. my point was... It was transparent when I uploaded it... I never touched it... but photobucket changed it ... I dont understand why ... but all my images are weird uploadin via photobucket than the original image
Title: Re: New Tutorial added ... What would you like next?
Post by: Shady Lady on February 25, 2006, 09:44:38 PM
I don't know how to stop it from changing it  but you can just open it in psp and use the magic wand tool and/or selection tool to get rid of the backfground. Hold the shift key while selecting all the areas you want to get rid of. Then, click ctrl + shift + I. Then click ctrl + c. Then ctrl + v. This will paste it as a new image without the background.
