Post by: zeboo on August 30, 2006, 07:16:16 PM
This is one of my all time favorites I can hardly wait every year for fresh blackberries
1/2 cup butter
1 cup flour
1/2 cup sugar
1teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup milk
2-3 cups fruit ( I use fresh Blackberries) but frozen works well too
1/2 cup sugar
put butter in a 9x12 baking dish let melt while preheating oven to 350

mix flour,1/2 cup sugar, and baking powder add milk and stir
spoon lumpy batter into pan with melted butter.
in sauce pan add fruit and 1/2 cup sugar till fruit develops about 3-4 min
pour over top of crust bake 30 min
let cool. serve warm and top with ice cream

I make that with 1 large can of peaches in heavy syrup. Just melt the butter in the pan pour in the crust mix and put the peaches and juice on top. It is great!!
