3-4 c. sliced apple
1 c. brown sugar
3/4 c. flour
1/3-1/2 c. shortening !@!
1/8-1/4 c. water
1 tsp. cinnamon
Grease an 8 or 9 inch baking dish. Put apples in dish. Add water. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Mix brown sugar and flour. Cut in shortening and blend until mixture is crumbly. Put sugar mixture over apples. Bake at 325 degrees for 45 minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. May serve with dollop of ice cream or whip cream.
