Made this last night and it was very yummy!
1 bag split peas, sorted and rinsed.
1 medium brown onion, diced
2 large celery stalks, diced
2 large carrots, shredded
1 T marjarom
1 hamhock
1 ham steak
salt and pepper to taste
Toss everything but the ham steak into the crock pot and cook on high for 7 hours.
Remove hamhock and puree soup with hand held pureer/blender
Remove meat from hamhock and dice ham steak, add to pureed soup and shout YUMMMMO!

sounds good.... like my pea soup recipe. Marjoram really makes a difference.
This was a great soup.... I will make it again and freeze some next time.
