Title: ThunderPopper question...
Post by: MercyMeeee on April 11, 2009, 10:39:30 PM
First of all...let me wish everyone a Happy Easter!  Second of all, I've been reading the other posts concerning the ThunderPopper, it's good to know that I'm not the only one having the same problems as described here.  Anyhow, I'm just wondering, for those of you that are having problems, do you have any certain settings that you use, to help it not hang up as often, or are you having to baby sit it?  I am rank 46, and I want to get this ranked out in a bad way...I hate the thought of playing it by hand, because I got burned out on that game a long time ago help.gif

Are you talking about Poppit or The Poppit Show - 2 different thunderpoppers and there are lots of different types of problems so you will need to be more specific as some have been resolved.

ohh, sorry about that...I have ThunderPopper version 5.5, the auto will play perfect for me for about the first 20 minutes, then all of a sudden it will just sit there.  Usually when this happens, the pin or the weight will have a white glow around them...my java is up to date and I use windows xp.  I do not use the option for the auto to use the weight and the pin at the same time...I usually only have the pin option clicked.  I have tried it all diff ways, use the pin, don't use the pin...use the weight, not use the weight and game will still freeze.  I have tired all 3 levels and it makes no difference...by the way what level do you set your auto to play on.  Anyhow, I hope this helps explain a bit better then my first posting.  Thanks in advance for your time!

If you are just trying to rank out disbale the extra settings

If you still have trouble slow the auto down

Keep the speed two clicks from the left and, as Homer says, disable the PIN and WEIGHT options.

I also allow it to think for 10 seconds.

Edited to fix erroneous information about placing the mouse over the game screen.

I agree with Joe C and Homer... disable the settings, slow it down a bit. Also, something I noticed when I was using it to rank out was that sometimes it would hang for a good minute or two then start playing again. Maybe it was taking a potty break?

I'm gratefully ranked out of Poppit.  I was grateful for Thunderpopper.

I dread facing the Poppit Show and the sludge-slow Thunderpopper to go.
I want Badgehelp to come out with a magic wand.  How long will that be in development?

No problem. I am still trying to finish all of my hints and suggestions on the actual BadgeHelp site. I try to put a lot of tips in the comments for each game for those I found out some trick. For example, keeping the mouse ON the game window in Poppit or Stack'em really makes a big difference. I have two screen names and between using the clients and double-browsing, there is no challenge badge I ever have problems with.

How do you keep your mouse on the game window when the auto keeps moving my cursor back over to the "start/pause" button?

Oops, eliminate that part. I confused Poppit and PopFu. Everything else remains the same. I will edit my older post.
