If you have her go to the Pogo HELP and enter Java in the search it has something that explains how to get java to work on Pogo.
Firefox is a browser and has nothing to do with java. What she needs to do is go to control panel-- uninstall programs and uninstall all traces of java. Then she needs to reboot her system and go to
http://java.sun.com/products/archive/ (http://java.sun.com/products/archive/)
If she has Vista download JDK/JRE version 6 update 7
If she has XP download JDK/JRE version 5 update 13
She must also go to the java control panel after she installs it and turn off the auto updater or else the next time she reboots, it will try to update her to the latest java.
Hope that helps! tumbsup.gif

To disable Java Update, un-select the Check for Updates Automatically check box.

DLL....Katye was telling us her checkbox was grayed out and she was unable to uncheck it...........so I dont know how to tell her to fix this.
Katye......I did some google searching and there were some responses on a few different sites that say you can turn off java updates in your registry...but I dont feel comfortable telling people to edit their registries because it can really mess your puter up if you type in something wrong.
Tks for all the help ... My Cousins isn't greyed out so she is ok going to get my friend to go help her with it , hard to help when you live 250 miles away :)
